Well, I'm pretty sure Tink brought in the new year with a carb binge. I have NO idea WHAT he found, but assuming someone dropped a cracker or something during my NYE party. His 12/31 cycle wasn't anything to write home about, but he appeared to be in quite a bounce the morning of 1/1. Assuming it was carb induced and not an actual bounce.
I was starting to consider another increase as we'd not seen green in a couple days... but he got back to it last night (and had me waking up every hour to make sure he wasn't going too low). Spreadsheet numbers may not be 100% accurate... but they're close. I'll update with actual numbers later.
I went ahead and refilled his Lantus one more time. I just haven't had time to talk to the vet about switching to Lev. Plus, we're finally starting to see results from Lantus... so who knows. If I can get him regulated, I'm fine with Lantus. He doesn't have the issues some kitties have, with mood and tremors... though he does flinch a little with injections. He does kick his foot funny when I pick him up sometimes... but I'm pretty sure that's fleas - which I've not been able to get a handle on this year, even with the colder temps (which really only prevent new fleas from being brought in since the cats are indoor only).
Hope everyone had a nice New Year's and that all of us (beans and sugarcats - and non-sugarcats and even the droolers) have lots of good things in store for the coming year!
