I just want to cry looking at Mandarin's numbers today. :arghh:He hasn't been this high in a month. I know that these are not really horrible numbers in the grand scheme of things, but they are also definitely not getting him any closer to remission.

On top of that, Lenny is having a really rough time all of a sudden. He seems drunk and disoriented and can't really control his back legs. The surgery was on his front paw (and he had a tooth removed), so that shouldn't cause him to lose control over his back legs. He's only on Rimadyl (pain med) and Amoxicillin (in addition to his regular thyroid meds), so that can't really be it either. He's been on all of those things before and has never had any sort of a reaction.

...and I am trying to get some work done on my syllabi to stay distracted, but I can't really focus.

Think Mandarin is having a mini bounce. I don't see how you can increase with nadir's in the 50's...hang in there, he's made amazing progress! Walter has decided to hit the lagoon today. Poor Lenny...I have no advise or insight, just lots of vines and prayers that he feels better.

Walter you are so handsome in green!
I wouldn't worry about Mandarin; he had great numbers just yesterday so perhaps he's having a bit of a bounce.
I hope Lenny feels better soon; sending lots of vines!

It is possible how Lenny responds to meds has changed. Years ago, Trix had no problems with Bupe, but now even the tiniest dose makes her brutally drunk. And for me personally, I used to have no problems with percocet, but now it makes me massively seasick. So you never do know. I'd give the vetty a buzz...sending prayers.

What's up with hanging at the beach Mandarin? Did you lend your board to Walter?
I guess that must be it... looks like only one of my boys can be in the lagoon at a time and now Mandarin is back to showing off his surfing skills... and his bean is still wondering what that higher start was all about.

Unfortunately, the vet clinic is still closed today - but that is a good point about the meds. I will definitely give them a call in the morning.

Looks like Mandarin was bouncing and cleared.

So sorry about Lenny and his back legs and it could very well be a reaction to the meds. Hope you get answers soon. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Christina - I take it Lenny is a dog? My Mom's dog was on Rimadyl and it caused petit mal seizures in him
Yes, he's a 70-pound dog. I just looked up all the side effects and there are several neurological things on there: Ataxia, paresis, paralysis, seizures, vestibular signs, disorientation. Maybe that is really the explanation - I think I might just skip the meds tonight and call the vet in the morning.
