Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans. This morning we had a good test, shot, breakfast (Wellness Turkey and FF T&G; first sitting eaten, the rest "saved" for second sitting), a good schmooze, and now a nap in his little bed by the radiator. The LagoonMeister may be in the green surf soon, but then again he might not!

Our temperature rose a lot overnight and is now almost 30 degrees. It might even rain today (ugh!! double ugh!!). I tweaked my ankle yesterday during my misguided trial of my old ski boots on Edward's skis (stupid thing to do, but I wanted to be able to drive the car in my ski boots, something I can't do in my present boots). So I'm taking it easy today to get ready for the big ski trip on Monday. [Just realized that this might not make sense to people who don't X-country ski. X-country ski boots have to fit the style of X-country binding they are designed for; my present boots fit the present binding on my skis, but my old boots fit the bindings on Edward's skis (which have the same bindings I used to have on my skis). Nice and clear, huh? ]

Wishing everyone a good weekend and sending our thoughts and prayers to Lyresa's Scruffy for a safe passing to the Bridge. Sending healing vines to all who need them.

Re: 1/19 Rusty AMPS 110

Morning Ella. Rusty is beginning his day off well. I believe you're correct and he will make it to the green lagoon.

Sorry to here about your ankle. Have a great weekend and have fun but be careful on your X-country trip Monday.

Re: 1/19 Rusty AMPS 110

Great start for Rusty!
If I were a cat, I'd totally sleep in between my beans. Glad he's keeping cozy and warm.

I hope your ankle feels better!
Take care!

Re: 1/19 Rusty AMPS 110

Nice start for Rusty this morning.

I assume you mean New Nordic Norm vs some newer binding, and cable bindings went out a long time ago, or is stuff really changed and different. We haven't looked at new XC equipment in 15 years.

Hi again, everyone,

We are sending our heartfelt sympathy to Camille, Kim, and Lyresa. Salem and Sir Scruffy have passed peacefully. Fly free, kitties!

Today is a nice, restful day here. The weather is not so great and we are listening to the Met broadcast and just chillaxin'. Rusty enjoyed his lunch of FF T&G and is keeping watch over the Green Lagoon as he surfs.

bbl,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. to John & Ann: the NNN bindings are the most popular. However, my boots are Salomon and Salomon has their own line of bindings: the SNS (Salomon Nordic System). There are several bindings in this group and you have to be sure your boot toe-bars are the ones that fit the binding! And yes, the old Nordic Norm 3-pin bindings are still made. In fact, ski mountaineers use 3-pin bindings on their Telemark and Randonee skiis.
