Hi Jenn

Hope you, Mikey, Marc, and the kitters are well. How does Mikey's eye look? Is he eating? Are you testing him daily for ketones?

Sorry I missed your condo yesterday....work kept me swamped.

I thought you were going to take him up to 2.75u the other day when Sienne suggested it. If he doesn't do anything startling this cycle, I would absolutely shoot 2.75u tomorrow morning.

I'd like to see you be more aggressive on his dosing. By that, I mean if you do not see any blue or green numbers in six cycles on a dose, then take him up .25u. If you see blue or green, be sure you let
any subsequent bounces clear and see what he's going to do before you change his dose. But if no blue/green...then be consistent about increasing him .25u after six cycles.

I know I was going to increase him the other day but then got nervous if once he was off the meds he went real low to fast not knowing if I would be able to be home. This week has been up and down with the hours I am here, awake, etc.

His eye is ok, the "cold" has cleared however I'm not wondering if there is something more. You may remember I mentioned in the beginning he had like an "Elvis" smile, where one side of his mouth curles up when he's hungry? He also always "winked" at us, the same eye that had the "cold". Of course I'll keep watching it. It's hard not knowing what his mannerisms are vs something that is out of character since I've only had him a 3months. I don't test daily for ketones. I didn't realize it had to be done that frequently. I am able to test him about once a week at least. It's hard to sit in the room and wait for him to pee and sometimes he goes and I can't get the stix ready in time to test. His appetite is fine, as is his drinking. I've been giving him water with his food.

I know what you mean about being more aggressive with his dosing. I guess I'm just so fearful of changing it. He is also scheduled for a dental cleaning on Feb. 1.

When Gracie is in pink/yellow, I test her for ketones every day. I know it's harder for you. I have the luxury of seeing her go in the LB room and can follow her in there. So do what you can :-D

Maybe there is some pain in his mouth that is causing what you describe. Hoping his numbers will come down with the dental.
