Attie missed his midnight snack, but was pestering at 4am. I got up and shuffled down to the kitchen to check and there it sat in the open chamber waiting for him. He is so funny at night about the feeder. He sat there at my feet waiting until I told him it was there. Once he heard that he scampered over to eat with gusto. Silly kitty. I went btb.
The alarm went off and I am not ready to get up. Thank goodness some days cats won't let you oversleep and owning a coffeemaker with a timer!
Down to the kitchen to food bowls, kibble bags rustling, can cat food cans being opened, and yes, Atlas' frozen rabbit needed to be defrosted. I forgot to put it out in the fridge last night. Got Attie's test, fed everybody, including Gary who was waiting on the garden step.
I am very much loving this FreeStyle Lite meter with these funky test strips with ear tabs. Multi-pokes have pretty much gone the way of the past now that I have a handle on the strips. Lancet dialed way back to a #1/2 setting because I don't need so much blood. In fact I am still getting more blood than I need. Just a quick touch of the droplet and it seems the meter is already in test mode. Out of 50 strips I think I had only 3 that ended up truly wasted.
So today is round #2 for the mighty plans of mice & men....
