I know that promise all too well.... You have given her so much love.....
I'm glad she was purring and relaxed .....
It's hard to love someone this much.

I'm so sorry. Prayers for your grieving heart.

Thank you all so much. I am quite overwhelmed by all the love and support at this really sad time for us.
No one understands quite like all of you do how much we love our little fur babies and how close we become with them.....and when we lose them the pain and grief we feel. :bighug::bighug:

((((Bron & the rest of team Sheba))))

So sorry to hear your dear Sheba had to leave you and so quickly, but your love for her will live forever and one day you'll be together again.

She was such a special girl and all of LL will miss her ....too many of our old timers have left us :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Fly free sweet Sheba and land softly....there will be a grand party at the bridge when you arrive and you'll see all your old friends again....before you know it, the ones you loved most will be there with you too cat_wings>o

I cannot properly express my sorrow at reading that Sheba has crossed to the Bridge. My tears and the ache in my heart for you will have to do.

I am so sorry, Bron ...

((((Bron))))

Bron, I am so sorry. I was hoping you would have more time with her. Just know you did the right thing. Our last gift of love to them.
Hugs and Prayers to you and your family at this sad time. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I am missing Sheba dreadfully. She would talk to me all day and was never far away....I am finding the days are very long at the moment. I am always very busy and all her needs slotted into the day. But now the whole structure of my days has gone and I feel pretty much adrift. I can't settle to do anything. I don't know what is worse.....seeing her empty beds, or seeing the empty spots where her beds were.
But I am at peace with the decision to help her cross when I did. We decided together and did it at the beginning of the end and not the end of the end.
Yesterday I received a lovely bouquet of flowers from my vets, saying how sorry they were and that they would miss Sheba. I have been so lucky to have such good vets.
All your messages have been wonderful and have meant so much to me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

@carfurby. Thank you for always being there for me and for your love and support.
@Bobbie And Bubba. Yes Sheba's last hours were filled with love. You are right.....it is never long enough we have our furbabies.
@Osha. Thank you for your condolences.
@Dyana Thank you for lighting a candle for Sheba so she could find her way to Maxie and for your support.
@Carol & Murphy Thank you for your condolences and kind words
@Sharon14 Thank you for your kind words for my beautiful girl.
@Shoeskitty Yes it was only a week from diagnosis to when she crossed. Looking back I guess there were subtle signs that all was not well but I thought it was the pancreatits. Her QOL was good though up until the last day so for that I am very grateful.
@Tuxedo Mom Thank you for your condolences and the lovely poem. It all happened so quickly...I am still finding it hard to believe.
@Vyktors Mum Thank you for your support and condolences. Sheba loved receiving her first parcel from her Auntie Serryn and had a good sniff at the vines....had to stop her having a nibble! I will try and find someone who can use the goods.
@Gill & George Thank you for your lovely words and thoughts and the butterfly photo. I hope Sheba and Maxie are together at the bridge chasing butterflies too.
@Doodles & Karen Thank you for your lovely words and thoughts. It means a lot to have such wonderful support.
@Kris & Teasel Thank you for your condolences and support
@Beth 73 Thank you so much for your love and prayers
@Judy and Boomer Thank you for your condolences
@Lincolns Mom Thank you for your lovely words. Yes, having Sheba so relaxed and purring during her final hours means a lot to me.

Bron, I know these are the hardest days. Days of transition and a new normal that we don't want. As you know many of us have been right where you are and would do all we could to lessen the pain.
I haven't written until now because I couldn't see through my tears. I am grateful I got to witness your love and care for Sheba. Wishing for moments of contentment to come upon you soon.

Bron, it's so hard when we lose a furbaby and our whole routine is changed. I hope you are able to smile through your tears soon as you remember your sweet Sheba. Sending prayers. I hope Jess is doing okay. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Bron, I'm pretty new on here, but I'm not new to losing much loved kitties and dogs. My heart goes out to you and all those who loved your Sheba, and I'm crying with you. I hope it's a comfort (someday) knowing that Sheba knew she was loved, and that you gave her the best home possible. I am so very sorry.

@Linda and Scooter & Jack Thank you for the beautiful quote
@Sienne and Gabby (GA) You helped us when I was having so much trouble with Sheba's bouncing....honey. It made a huge difference...thank you. And thank you for the condolences, reassuring words and the beautiful quote.

@Anne & Zener GA Thank you Anne, Liz and Tillie for your condolences
@Marje and Gracie Marje, you have helped me so much in many ways since Sheba and I joined the forum. Rescuing me at the beginning of each year with the SS! Losing Sheba has been a terrible blow.......something I didn't see coming at all. But I am truly thankful I was able to make her passing so peaceful and stress free for her. We were so close, I knew immediately when she looked at me and told me she was ready to go. It all happened very quickly as the specialist said it might if the swelling pressed on a particular spot. The poem is beautiful thank you and thank you for the prayers.:bighug:
@Madrona and Leda Thank you for your condolences
@Squeaky and KT (GA) Thank you for your condolences and prayers and lovely thoughts
@Red & Rover (GA) & "Cat" Thank you for your condolences and kind words
@DebG Thank you for the lovely quote
@Dawn and Peek-a-Boo (GA) Thank you for your very kind and comforting words and condolences...they mean a lot to me
@Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey Thank you for being such a wonderful support to me over the last couple of years. You are always there...I sometimes wonder if you ever go to bed at night!!! Thank you for the "When is it Time" article the other day...it was a real help. I read through it and at the time Sheba had a pretty good QOL. It all changed quickly on the last day, which for Sheba was probably good (if it had to happen).
I know you are all to familiar with what I am going through, having gone through it 4 times fairly recently :bighug::bighug:

Thanks Carla. I can see I am going to have to rearrange my whole day. I was always here at certain times of the day every day if at all possible and it just became routine......
Jess is doing well thanks Carla. Her QOL is 100% at the moment. She knows something has happened though and looks at me as if to say...are you OK?
She went to the specialist on Thursday to have her staples out and they rechecked the tumour for bleeding...ultrasound... so far so good. She started chemo yesterday.
@Barbara & Uncle thank you for your condolences and kind words. Your support means a lot.
@Glennie thank you for your condolences

@suki & crystal (GA) Thank you dear friend for always being there for me. The picture of the animals farewelling their friend is beautiful. I know you are still going through your own grief with having lost beautiful Crystal. I hope Sheba and Crystal meet up at the bridge along with all our other beautiful kitties who have gone ahead...there have been far too many this last year.

@Voula Thank you for your condolences and all those lovely words. You have been a good friend to me and I have appreciated all your help over the last couple of years. I had just got myself organised with the zofran and cerenia...and SubQ fluids....when all this happened. But at least it helped a lot in the last couple of months. Thank you.
@Gussie's mom (((Les))) thank you for thinking of us. I know you are going through a heartbreaking time at the moment with darling Gussie. :bighug:
@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) thank you Ella for your condolences and lovely words. You have been a good friend to me and I appreciate your support a lot. I am very grateful I was able to have the vet come to the house to make it peaceful for Sheba. Thank you.
@marniepaul & miles thank you so much for all those lovely words. I appreciate them a lot. Yes, I think she did have a good death...having been a nurse all my working life, I know how important that is for every living creature....and knowing that, it has made it that much easier to bear.
@Wendy&Neko thank you for all those lovely words of comfort. They mean a lot to me. And thank you for all your support since I first joined the forum. You were one of the first to help me and I was very grateful. It made such a difference to both our lives. I was determined to keep my promise to Sheba that she would not suffer and it was almost a relief when she gave me that look and told me it was time. I think we both felt at peace after that. I know you are still going through your grief having lost beautiful Neko so recently but you are still there helping others, you are a true inspiration to us all.
@jayla-n-Drevon thank you for your condolences and the lovely words of comfort. I appreciate them
@rhiannon and shadow (GA) thank you Rhiannon for your condolences and lovely words of comfort. You have been a good friend since the beginning and a great support. @Jenny and Grady thank you for your condolences.
@Chris & China thank you for your condolences and kind words. I appreciate them. You are another one of the original ones who greeted and helped me in the early days....a good friend. It was such a relief to find somewhere that could help on a daily basis and get Sheba on track. Thank you for your devotion to the forum.
@JanetNJ Thank you for your condolences and kind words.
@Tiina and Hugo Thank you for your condolences.
@Critter Mom Thank you for your condolences. You were also one of the original ones who greeted Sheba and I on the board and helped us get sorted out. I know you have been through tough times losing Saoirse not very long ago....so many of our beautiful kitties have gone to the bridge.
@Peg and Toby thank you Peg for your condolences. I was hoping I would have longer with Sheba too, but it was not to be. Thank you for the prayers and lovely words.
@Julie and Eleanor thank you for your condolences.

Bron, I really appreciated the help and support you gave me when I was new to the board and things with Max were all too hard. And then when I was transitioning Milly to raw food, you were always there to answer questions and help in any way. You made things so much easier, taking time out of your busy life to do that. So many thanks from me, back to you :bighug: :bighug: :bighug:

Jess is doing well thanks Carla. Her QOL is 100% at the moment. She knows something has happened though and looks at me as if to say...are you OK?
She went to the specialist on Thursday to have her staples out and they rechecked the tumour for bleeding...ultrasound... so far so good. She started chemo yesterday.
I'm glad she's doing well right now. I hope the chemo helps her. Please keep us updated. Sending more prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh Bron :bighug::bighug::bighug: I am a few days late, but just went searching for Sheba's condo and my heart broke when I saw the subject line. So very very sorry, Sheba was such a wonderful kitty and we all know how much she meant to you. It sounds like she had a lovely last day and that her passing was very peaceful - I guess that's all you can ask for. Hopefully being able to say goodbye helps you and your family. I'm so glad I got to meet Miss Sheba, I still remember how patient she was when I was learning to test and my hands were shaking while she was just patiently eating her chicken waiting for me to be done. We will all miss you, Sheba. Fly free little girl cat_wings>o

Oh No, Dear (((((((((Bron))))))) My heart sank as well when I read your condo title......I have been gone but just have to say I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Sheba. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:We all know how hard it is to say goodbye, you let Sheba maintain her quality of life and dignity. You gave her the absolute best life possible- how blessed she was to have you as her human. I know she loved and appreciated all the loving care you and team Sheba gave her. You and your family will continue to be in my heart and prayers...Tonight I look to the sky and look for that bright new star that has been in the sky for a couple of days now. Fly Free Sweet Sheba and land softly, you were so loved.

@Tara & Ivana Thanks Tara. I am glad you got to meet my beautiful girl. Yes Sheba was very patient letting you test her.
I am missing her terribly and still find it hard to believe...it all happened so fast.
I am really glad Ivana is doing so well.

@Tiger(GA) and Ruth Dear Ruth :bighug: thank you for your lovely words and the beautiful poem. Yes, it is very very hard to say goodbye. My days seem so empty without her constant chatter to me and every so often I think....oh my god I have forgotten to test Sheba. And the time around AMPS and PMPS seems to drag by. We get so used to building our lives around them that when they are taken away, there is a gaping hole. Thank you for your prayers.

You gave Sheba a beautiful gift, to die at home. Of all my cats' passings, the one that gives me the least pain is the afternoon my Todo died in my arms, in front of the fireplace where she so loved to warm herself.
Home is where we all long to be. Sheba was home.

@Kathy and TiTi
Thank you Kathy. You are so right....there is no place like home. It made it easier knowing Sheba felt safe and at peace....just as Todo felt as well, I am sure.

Completely broadsided here for you both. Please know that you are both very much in my heart and in my thoughts; can't stop thinking about you both ...
