I am whispering his numbers to you all. SHhhhh....don't want to go making a BIG deal about them for fear that I will awaken Mr. Liver and he will rear his very ugly head. It seems that some times, Shadow can pull off a 33 and Mr. Liver never even notices for days....and that is such a good thing. Maybe the Levemir has put Mr. L in a sedated state and it won't make a big fuss.

For a 4th cycle after a doscrease, this is pretty darn good, no? But shhh....lets not make any noise. :lol:
Shadow has come so far. I am so proud of him and so very happy! This healing range is so wonderful for him to experience. And he deserves feeling good~~he is such a sweet boy.

Have I told you all that I never got into giving them snacks for the shots or testing? In the beginning, I wasn't sure which treat would be acceptable and I stalled and didn't give them anything at all. They just got into the habit of not getting treats for these procedures. That is why it is so outstanding that he is so enthusiastic about jumping up on the testing towel and being so willing to lie down and get his shot....he is amazing!! He should be the poster boy for FD and if people saw the way he is, maybe they wouldn't fear having to give insulin and do these tests. Hey, if I had know in the beginning, I would have been so much happier at diagnosis time! I thought they would hate me for sure!

Thank you all for your patience and help with my boy....he was difficult for so long with his horrible numbers. Just a trip down memory land for me this morning. I am feeling so thankful!! Hugs to you all! :YMHUG:
 
Yes! Mr. Flat Cat and that is that!

I wonder how many cats don't get treats at testing time? I am going to take a wild guess and say not many.
And to have two kitties be SO cooperative without any expectation of a treat? Well, that is just lovely that they do this just for the hugs and attention. It's almost a doggy like characteristic.

BigMac is cat-like regarding testing and treats. "A hug? Yeah, nice, BUT where's my TREAT?"

Shadow, you and Raja will be coming to Camp Stu to howl at the Wolf Moon tomorrow night, and I want to remind you to bring your blankets!! It's cold up here in the mountains!! But we'll have some nice, hot Tuna toddys to warm you up, and lots of singing and dancing. See you soon.

Hi Pat!

You should be very proud of Shadow. He has come a long way. I started with giving Sara treats at test/shot time. As time wore on seeing what a model patient she was I did it less and less. Than I didn't at all for a long time. Now she gets one after because I have to give her her thyroid med. So now she expects it again.

I'm glad Shadow has been such a good patient too. He should be a poster boy for FD. It would help out a lot of people to see that. He's such a good boy. cat_pet_icon

Hi guys ... I'll join in on the whispers and let shadow know how good he is looking ... Mocha doesn't get treats either .. she doesn't have a problem with us testing her, but when it comes to shot time she's in such a state of panic and frustration she wouldn't even recognize a treat in front of her ... have a great day guys!
 
Pat I am so proud of Shadow!! He is doing so well (SSSHHHH!!) Hope it continues for a long time!!
We know it's all you! Poster boy for FD, so so good--Moonie checks to see that I have her treat ready, I test, then she gobbles it down-so funny!! :-D :-D :-D
Great news and we are so so happy!

Shadow, We are hoping you will lead the Wolf Howl tomorrow night-we hear you are great at it!! What a wonderful time we will have!! Bus will pick up all up, so we will be ready to party at Camp Stu's--We will have a big bonfire to keep us warm, lots of foods, and Ice fishing, snowboarding, Ohhh I cant wait!--See you & Raja there--Big Hugs from Moonie!
