punkin seems to be clearing these bounces pretty quickly right now - at least getting him into the 120-150 range at the nadir. i wouldn't mind a little lower, but ya gotta be careful what you wish for! at least this is a safe range for him without me having to worry at work.

no cute antics to report, but all is well in Punkin's world! he's his usual furry purry self, eating every bit of food he is given and sleeping a lot of the day away. it's a rough life!

Me too Beth, can I be Julie's pet?!?

Punkin is still looking as fabulous as ever, I'm just lovin these numbers on him!

Thank you so much for doing the how to handle the lantus video. Turns out I haven't been doing that correctly  . I knew I couldn't rely on the vet (who told me to roll and shoot excess back in) so I did ask the chemist as well but she told me the same thing  You'd think a chemist (I think you call them pharmacists) would know how to do it. I even read the instructions that came with the lantus and rang the chemist to ask about this injecting air into the vial business. She sounded surprised to hear you should do that and told me not to worry about it since he was having such a small dose. So I didn't do it to start off with but then I thought to myself hang on a minute the lantus people surely must be the most knowledgeable about handling their own product so I did start shooting air in, but I was doing it with the vial upside down, i.e. shooting the air into the lantus itself  and it only occured to me after I watched your video that the lantus instructions didn't say you need to roll the bottle first    .

I am using the method that you demonstrated now and, as well as protecting the lantus, it is also much easier to get the dose drawn up

I may have stuffed up the first vial with my mistreatment of it. It is still clear but has a ring of what looks like little bubbles ringing the outer edge of the vial in the middle of it - if that makes any sense. I tipped the vial (gently) but those little air bubbles won't join up with the rest of the air in the vial. Do you think it's stuffed or can I still use it? It's only happened today so tonight I started a new vial just in case.
