Last night was a much nicer blue and low yellow cycle than the am cycle of pink, then yellow bgs :(
Ivy sure took her time to break her am cycle bounce. No hurry for her. :eek:
Let’s see what Ivy has up her tank top today.

Very cold here on the East Coast with bitter teen/20s temperatures ahead for the weekend. I do not like the cold. So glad Ivy is an indoor girl only.

Well you were right in that call of the bg prediction, Kit. She just went down to 115 on Libre at +2. I’ll see where she’s headed and if needed give a tsp of 9% if still diving hard.
I agree on that bitter temps. I don’t love January and February here. The rest of the year is fine.
Someday I would like to be a snowbird and winter somewhere warm, if we can swing that.
Since DH doesn’t plan to retire (nor should he…as he would drive me crazy) …. He can work from anywhere. Remote works for him.

I hope Mikan has a gentle cycle today, too. Have a happy day and stay safe and warm! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

It's a joy for me to see how stable Ivy has been in the last few cycles in compared to her tendency for trampoline. Looks like the changes you're applying are working!
I agree with @Mikanmama, +1 is probably a food bump. And quite a mild one. Fistuk's bumps are so high :p
I'm also happy Ivy as an indoors girl. So are Fistuk and Prince. It's tough for me to think about outdoors kitties.
I believe cats are meant to feel totally spoiled and comfortable :woot:

Weird cycle today....and weird meter reads.
At + 3.5 Libre read 42 (210 on Contour)
Then tested again and got 53 Libre (206 Contour)
That's a very unusual large spread of numbers. Scratching my head on this batch of readings.:banghead:
So obviously she was safe....but certainly weird readings.
(This is why I test low numbers on the Libre to be certain if she's actually very low).

Now at +4.5 Libre reads 112
Sigh. Back to work, not getting much done this morning....

That IS a surprising discrepancy in the numbers. Are Libre and Contour on the same scale? Crazy ...

When I first switched from AT to Relion, I tried to compare the 2 for a few days, even though people here advisd me there was no point. Well, they were right. No pattern, even, that's annoying!
I think that's a good reason to stick to one meter?

Hi Cecile, believe me, if I could use one meter I would. It’s complicated with Miss Ivy. I can only poke so much with her. :(

Yes, I know that, so just the Libre then? I never used it, do all the people who use the Libre also use another one to check it?

wow that really is some crazy discrepancies. I am in canada but recently switched from the Contour Next to the Relion Platinum (we have friends get it to us - its a huge $ savings)...I used to try and compare the Relion and Contour but stoppped as it was making me nuts- overall the Relion runs higher - but never had huge discrepancies like you got today.....
 
Staci do you think it may be a bad sensor? The last one we had seemed like it was way off and it did quit after 4 days.

I didn't think so up until those odd readings....her cycle is actually what I would have expected after yesterday's cycle...I will probably check her again to double check. But, you never know. Usually when I have a bad sensor it starts being weird in other ways....this was a very strange spread of readings. Sigh. So many things to consider every single day! :bighug:

I tried the Relion early on and always got Error messages. I hated it. I think the Contour takes less blood and so seems much easier to get a reading for me. :arghh:

It’s funny that you think Ivy looks steady. (I don’t see it but maybe I’m too close to her SS and every hour ). But thank you for your vision. It helps me so much.

Early on, I got error messages more often that I got readings. And Bella hated it. I don't know how many times I ended up crying as I was trying to test her. Now you would not believe how easy it is, she just waits patiently and we're both so much more relaxed. She even licks my hand while waiting :kiss:

Bella talks a lot when I cut her nails. You would think I'm torturing her, but at the same time she does not move and sometimes even purrs. She sounds like she's saying "nomnomnooom"
