Good Morning Lantus Land, ~O) ~O) ~O)

Well, we went back up in dose last night. I think I took a reduction a bit too early as this is the second protracted bounce in several days.

Attie is up and guarding the back porch step. Rebel is out and about again this morning :evil: and has already visited the back porch scratching his way around leaving his pawnificent scent. So, there sits Attie acting like wise King Soloman splitting the territory. He seemed OK with just Gary, but two male garden cats...not so much.

Temp is a lovely 37F and a winter nasty mix is slated for this afternoon. I am hoping to get out this morning and visit a few vet offices to drop off business cards & brochures (coffee & donuts too). Maybe bagels...?

Morning Atlas and Blue. It will be intresting to see what Blue does today with the new dose. Lucky Vet employees with donuts and bagels. That will start their day to a good start. You said you were dropping off business cards? Have a nice day.

I hope Rebel goes home and Gary comes back.

I am the owner of The Finicky Feline & Fido, LLC. There's a link to my website under my avatar.

I have a few veterinary release forms(VRF) to drop off to be added to clients files at the vet offices. The VRF gives me the permission to transport and seek treatment if needed while my clients are at work or out on travel. It also lets the clinic know how much $$$ to use towards treatment while I attempt to contact the client for further instructions. When I ask for the files to be supplemented with non-office paperwork, I always ask if I can leave business cards and brochures.

Darn it. Really wanted to get out this morning and today.


Attie was here pestering and purring...made me test him. :o

We fed this drop 0.25 oz. and Attie finished off his original breffis too.


I am really wondering if it time to go to free feeding with him. Since he isn't staying with the timed feeding anymore in these lower numbers?

If he isn't a scarfer, free feeding is working with Maverick but he isn't getting the green preshot numbers. Does raw food affect insulin levels like food with carbs in it?

I love your business and would seek out something like that here. Didn't even know it was an offering. Wow.

And I really don't like Rebel. I feel bad for Gary. Give him some extra socks and some tuna juice or something to make him feel better. Can't imagine being a cat outdoors. You can't even hug and kiss him to make him feel better.

You have a big heart.

Food, food, food....Attie used to eat on his own when he got low...now...it is like he doesn't realize it. He seems to feel the drops and comes to get me, but after that I have to really watch him....

Job? What job? What business to run?

Morning! Good luck with the dosecrease. Looks like Attie likes it already. nice numbers this morning, though Attie - might want to come up just a little. So true on the comment: "Well it all works if they cooperate".

I know that feeling. I've called in sick on days like yesterday when I needed to be home with Gabs. (I was very happy she decided to be a diva on a holiday.)

Re. your SS - the only observation I'd make is that when you decreased the last time, you went from a fat 3.25u to 3.0u. It's hard to know if taking more than 0.25u off the dose is what caused the reduction to not hold as well as you'd like but it's something to consider.

So, I have to think this through:

Problem:

1. Attie is no longer eating on time with the fancy timed feeder.
2. He appears to be wanting less fuds (which is a good thing?)
3. Restabilize 3.0, 3.0f, 3.25?


Solution(s):

2. Needing less fuds. Reduce feeding total amounts.
a. Meal reduce to 0.75
b. mini-meal to 0.25 still offer at +1,2,3 and +9
c. intro new mini at +2.5 (onset)

Anticipated results from this change:

Attie remains hungry enough to eat when the feeder goes off. His food delivery remains constant to avoid pigging and meals are available through out the early cycle. Reduce total food intake by 1.0 oz. per cycle or a total of 2.0 oz per day. Total food intact becomes 4.0 oz for the entire 24 hours.

Actually I said that yesterday in my condo. I think that was the problem and why I didn't return to the fat 3.25f, but just 3.25. Which should have been the shave off the dose. My mistake thinking I'd get away with it, but it looks like Attie is going to be a shaver.

Every cat is different. Most Raw foods have very little carbs in them. 3-5% according to Binky's Page. I feed the Rabbit which isn't on the list. Most Rabbit blends I have seen are even lower, but NV puts some veggies in their raw so I think it most likely falls in the 3-5% range.

Feeder went off again...and Attie is not interested.

Yeah...I think it's time to reduce the amounts and offer more often.

Looks like it's bedtime! Attie looks to be on the rise...maybe a bit of a bounce again. We seem to have gone back to remedial LTS University.

No Gary this evening, but several raccoons.

Supposed to get an arctic blast moving in over the next few days. "Accumulating" snow again, but bitter cold. Like 0-3F.
