Back to blue pmps's! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Tawny actually came downstairs tonight and joined the rest of us while Mommie was vacuuming the sofa. Then Mommie sat down on her nice clean vacuumed sofa and Tinkerbell and drooler sis Jessi decided to sit down on it w/her. Tawny decided she wanted to play in the newly cleaned vertical blinds instead!
OT: It's amazing what you learn on a cat board that you can apply to other situations! Poor Smokey (drooler who went missing overnight & came limping home across a field this a.m. thanks to the power of this board & all the come-home vines) laid on the floor looking miserable all day. He would not eat. I put chicken broth in a bowl (learned that here), he lapped it up. Then I put chicken broth in his food and warmed it (learned that here), he wouldn't eat it. So I scooped some of this what was now mush out of his bowl onto my fingers and he ate it (learned that here). So I finger-fed the dog his entire meal (learned that here). Made it a bonding/comfort time (learned that here). Tonight he ate off a spoon (ladle) for a while then finally ate out of his bowl, but I had to sit on the floor right next to him and pet him and talk to him the whole time (learned that here).
All these things I learned to do while I was taking care of Tawny when she was so ill. None of this would I have known to do if it were not for this board. Thank you people once again.

OT P.S. Smokey's foot appears to be injured, it does not appear to be his hip as I originally thought, over the course of the day it has swollen. I shaved some fur off it tonight and there is a big red spot there like some big animal stepped on him (neighbor's cow? donkey? 4-wheeler?) No puncture marks or open wounds of any kind. He tries really hard to walk on it and he is major traumatized by whatever happened to him. But he is home and loved and safe now.
And on house arrest.
