I was able to go and visit Sid tonight. A friend drove up there with me (icy roads and all!)
He lifted his head and talked up a storm when he first saw me and that really made me happy. He pushed his chin against my hand and purred like he likes to do so I know he was very happy to see me. I took him two blankets from home and I hope they comfort him.
The specialist told me this morning that Sid is not really improving that well. Both his potassium and phosphorus levels are extremely low. He is on a drip and supplements so I keep hoping for some improvement. Sid acted very weak though. He would barely lift his head and could not open his eyes. When I left he was back to hanging his head over his water bowl.
So I was very happy to get to see him and let him know I was there and didn't abandon him, I was sad to see him in such poor shape. I'm really really hoping he gets better. It doesn't look like he is though. I haven't given up hope though.
