A nice, flat start to the day for Miss Trix! She surfed the low 60s last night, causing the beans to stay up too late so we could put in a few extra pokes, just to make sure she stayed there. And she did. She finally gave us a 72 at +6, so off to slumberland we went - until Frankie decided otherwise (which is now a nightly event - we haven't had a break from her door rattling in months.)

I'm off today, so chores and hanging out with kitties - yay!!

Sending prayers out to J.D. and Dyana - eat, J.D., eat!

WOW on this morning! What a great start for Trixie, and a good nght last night too. Sorry she kept you up late... I so remember that drill. Sure is nice to see all that green though.

I wouldn't be able to sleep if I used anything like earplugs...you know me, I'm a worrier (day and night), so I need to be able to hear if there is any sort of trouble! We know she just wants to be with us - it's a separation anxiety issue. We do wait as long as we can, but once she starts with the nails under the door (worse than nails on a chalkboard!), we indulge her, even though it reinforces the behavior. It's a long, complicated situation....5 cats, territorial issues, and all that kind of stuff.

I can't even imagine the level of territorial issues with FIVE ~ we had more than enough drama with just TWO :roll: . I guess there's really not much you can do (unless you remove doors from your home ;-) ).

I wish taking the doors off would work! Long story short, Zen sleeps with us. We tried to let the others in the bedroom one day last year, too...he was NOT happy, to put it mildly, even though we had only been letting him in there by himself for just a few days. It was a screw up on our part to let him in there alone, and now we're kinda stuck. During the day, when everyone is out and about, they all get along well, aside from the occasional minor scuffle, but Zen has declared our bedroom at night as his, and only his....it's our fault. And we both feel bad for Frankie because we screwed up, so we indulge her...it's not her fault....

Well, green or not, Trixie's had some great healing numbers going on.

We can certainly relate with the impatient kitty in the morning. Today Ivan was chirping outside the bedroom door at 3am. This of course, just when Zekey lets us head to bed at a decent hour.

We actually have a very attractive cereal box taped across the mid-rail of the door, because Frankie actually used to hang from it :shock: :shock: :shock: !! We tried the double-stick tape once. I barely slept that night, because I was worried it would freak her out. She did stick to it...and it absolutely broke my heart when I saw her little toe hairs stuck to the tape :cry: ...that was probably 10 years ago, and it still makes me sad to this day....I'm so crazy sensitive like that.

Wow, Trixie is really surfing those greens! Keep it up, little one :-D I can just see poor sweet Frankie hanging by the rail to get into the beans room :shock: I only have one kitty, and if a door is closed, she is there sticking her paws under to pull on it, I can't imagine with 5! I can't even go to the bathroom with the door closed anymore...good thing I live alone :lol: I hope Trixie continues to surf for you today, woo hoo! :-D Hope you enjoy your day off, Amy!

Looks like we have us a busy night ahead...bummer for already-exhausted beans! I usually don't break out the HC until she officially drops below 50, but since it's so early in the cycle and I don't want her doing any of those crazy drops into the 30s, she just got HC. And - it's unconventional - but also since it's so early and she's so close to being under 50, I may give a reducie a whirl in the morning....we'll see, though.
