Yesterday was a combo bounce/get over possible fur shot day. And UGH, we haven't seen that much pink for a while. So glad to see another colour today.
1/15 Recap:
AMPS 313 +3.5 293 +8.5 375
PMPS 366 +4 365
Neko definitely wasn't feeling great yesterday. She spend a good part of the day sleeping. On the positive side, she no longer feels comfortable in pink. Today she is feeling much better. There's been 2 yard patrols already and a good hour and a half purring session on daddybeans lap. Hence the +5 instead of the normal +4 today. It's a gray day here and still no precipitation forecast for a week!
I got a some new Lantus cartridges yesterday, for the first time without a vet's prescription. It's so strange here. I can just walk up to the pharmacy, ask for Lantus and get it. They ask if it's prescription or not (I said not, my vet charges $20 for a script) and they hand over the package. No waiting in line for prescription fills, easiest thing ever. However, if I say it's for a cat, they need a prescription. So I just kept silent. Actually, that's what the pharmacist told me to do last time. Yesterday there was a local new article about the cost of buying drugs at a vet or at a pharmacist. One example was a local person with a diabetic cat and showing that a Lantus vial can cost from $65 at a pharmacy to double from a vet. Another was for lactated ringers solution for a CKD cat and a big price difference there too. The annoying thing about the article and follow on live chat was that the local guy is buying veterinary dry food for his cat and on 5 units a shot, and blood testing. Wish I could contact him about FDMB.
