This time last year, he was 396, we've come full circle. :sad:

@Mel, I test before he eats 99% of the time, only occasionally immediately afterwards before it has time to effect him, but haven't done that in days.

Someone mentioned Beef having a bad effect on their cat's bg, he's been eating FF beef and the beef&liver fairly regularly for the last week or 2, it's the FF classic pate' but I wonder if that's an issue.

Beef will send Autumn over the moon. So will eggs and grains. I have the best luck with her if I keep her on poultry and fish.

I keep wondering if its an allergic reaction as well to either something in his food or the insulin itself.

I dunno, but you know he won't eat chicken or salmon, so it makes it difficult. He''ll only eat chicken w/liver or w/tuna. He won't eat ANY seafood mix at all, since they all seem to have salmon in them. On rare occasion he'll eat whitefish and tuna maybe once a week, not 1 day a week, one meal a week. . He'll eat turkey and giblets, chicken and liver, chicken and tuna, occasionally mixed grill, and that's about it. Won't eat poultry platter or chicken or fish, except for tuna. I thought being able to add the beef and beef w/ liver was a good thing, maybe not so much. I won't get it anymore, not worth the hassle. He liked the expensive food I got at the pet store, but it didn't make a difference in his numbers. Was on them for a week. I can't afford FF, mush less that stuff. So I guess he'll just get the 3 flavors and have to deal with it. As it is, I still have to sprinkle with Fortiflora to get him to eat them at times. He'd eat cow patties with fortiflora on it! :lol: At least the top half anyway. ;-)

Since Mikey is allergic to beef (all red meats, really), both he and Henry only get Turkey and Chicken based foods. I used to feed them seafood once a week as a "treat," but Mikey never ate it and Henry treated it the same as any other food he gets: like it's the best stuff on earth (total food hog). Now, I don't even bother with the fish any more. :roll: :lol: I think the change in food was more for me getting bored feeding them the same thing over and over again than them actually wanting something different. I'm lucky I don't have picky eaters or it'd be an expensive nightmare trying to find foods Mikey could eat and liked! ohmygod_smile

Lucian is much better than he used to be. A year ago, I would have 4-5 cans open at all times, since he refused to eat the same thing twice in a row. Usually now he'll eat the same thing all day, some days he'll want something different once or twice. Much better than it used to be, had to be a different flavor at every meal and he ate every 2-3 hrs. He still eats every 2-4 hrs but will eat something repeatedly usually. Sometimes I have to hit it with fortiflora, then he'll eat most of it no matter what the flavor. I could probably get him to eat chicken with fortiflora, but that would get expensive.

Happily surprised with the 229, but don't understand the low night numbers. It's exact opposite of what he's always been, which means, he's messing with me again. :YMSIGH:
