Eek, forgot to post numbers yesterday. We had a swim meet and I had to be at school at 6am...man that was hard! I'm not one for waking up any earlier than I have to. We didn't get back til about 6:30pm....yuck. Kids did awesome though, with 5 of them qualifying for the Ontario championship. Yay!

Kit has been in the blues for the last couple days. AMPS and PMPSs are pretty much the same, so he's running pretty flat (unless he's going significantly higher during the day, but for some reason I dont think it's that much more - he's always been pretty flat).

Figured out why he didn't eat the other day -- he really really doesn't like the Chicken dinner. And to think I was so excited when I bought it...I mean who doesn't like chicken? Nope, he can't stand it. Wont even spend more than a second smelling it. The turkey/giblets is going a bit better, but I think he's just not a fan of the food. Going this weekend to return all the chicken and maybe stopping by Petsmart to see if they have the new Sophisticat cuz he really liked them.

I'm thinking of calling to find the numbers for the President's Choice (Canadian supermarket) ones...he liked those when we were buying them for Oreo (GA about 2.5 months ago). What do I ask when I call?

Woohoo on the kids qualifing!!!

Lol not a single one of my 13 will eat the new and improved Special Kitty...not a single flavor of it unless I mix it with Friskies so they don't know they are getting the Special Kitty...Now the little foster she will eat the special kitty, but I think she is just so darn happy to have anything canned she doesn't care what it is.

Around here it is Friskies or nothing, they would rather starve than eat the cheap stuff..lol

As far as calling I know it is the "as fed values" but I don't remember for which ones...might want to ask on health or look on Binky's page I think there is a list on it of what to ask for.

I forgot to post today but Musette's been running high today after a bad experience with a cat eating bed. Our bed sits on the floor and apparently she was laying on the bed and the pillow flipped over and she got stuck upside down between the mattress and the wall...she was one unhappy girl when mom realized she was missing and went to get her unstuck...wouldn't talk to me for a good 2 hours, just stared at the wall...lol Oh the indignity of it all, and in front of the other kitties too...heheh

Awww....poor little girl! I can just picture it....

Yup all food is going back, even the turkey and giblets. He didn't touch it overnight once again. I never thought he wouldn't eat something lol. Going to stop by petsmart and see if they've started carrying the new Sophisticat, but this time being smart and only buying a few cans (not 30 like we did the special kitty...of the big ones, even better lol). Otherwise gonna try the President's Choice. I ended up FINALLY seeing that there is a "Non-US canned food list". omg I dont know why I didn't see it before. So it has the Canadian versions of Friskies and the PC and flavours that were not on the other list ... makes so much sense! All this time, I couldn't figure out why there were so many left out of the list lol. But get this, the Chicken Dinner of Walmart, is 16% carbs!! OMG!! On the other list it was 3! So I wonder if that's why his numbers went high that day when he first ate it and now we're just getting back to normal (he hasnt eaten - licked it for a couple of days). HMMMM....yes, nothing is going right with this food.

Wow! There is that much of a difference between the US version and the Canadian version! No wonder Kit's numbers jumped up like that, might as well have given him a candy bar!

I know the feeling for the longest time I didn't think there was anything my civies wouldn't eat, until we started playing with different canned foods. :roll: After a year and a half with Maxwell here I think I have gone through more different kinds of canned foods than most pet stores...Mine won't touch the super cheap or the super expensive. For awhile they would eat both 9-lives and Special Kitty then both changed their recipes and now the only thing they will touch is the Friskies and if I was willing to open 200 3oz cans Fancy Feast...lol. Makes you wonder sometimes who is the owner and who is the pet doesn't it, because they have us so well trained.. ohmygod_smile
