Good Morning from the land of below 0 temps. It's a balmy 14F, in my enclosed porch. :smile:

Checkers is waiting on the sink, for it to magically turn itself on. Ain't gonna happen.
Main drain freezes quickly from dripping water, (it's almost horizontal), in a mobile home.

I wonder how long he can hold out. I can't bear to look into his beautiful yellow green eyes, as he thinks he's slowly dehydrating
Uhhhh Checkers, you have 2 fountains, plus Clancy's bowl, to drink from.

Good morning! Our civvie does the same thing. She gripes every time we walk into the utility room, so I just don't go in there. :lol:

Guess, he'll be bouncing sky high again tonight. I gave boiled chicken for +1 snack. Guess I should have given a little carb with it. Too late now. *sigh*

Morning guys. heat wave in your neck of the woods... BRRR!!! I won't complain about our 29.

I can so see checkers staring at the faucet.... waiting....

Wow on the numbers today - at least he's slowing up some. SURF CHECKS!

Wow Checkers, that's quite a dive from the pink floor. Hope you decide to surf safe healing numbers!

I know w/ the bouncing. We love seeing them in healthy numbers, but it dampen the joy to know they did it so fast they will go right back up. Hang in there, it's got to even out sometime.

He managed a lick of my mac 'n cheese, as I was standing there, grabbing it, so I know he didn't get even a chunk of mac. If this is a bounce, it high, even for him.
Bean is too depressed to talk about it.

Hi Barb,
Well, it certainly looks like a bounce. And quite a bounce. Checkers, we don't need you to try out for the trampoline olympics right now!!

We started out today with -14, but it warmed up to the low +20s. Now we're looking at a few days of warming, complete with rain. Ugh!!

Don't despair, Barb. Checkers will get straightened out soon. He does like those carbs, doesn't he?!

Well, he dropped a whole 16 points to +1.5. I don't have his journal in here with me, so don't know the exact number. That 499 is actually average of two differnt meter results. I didn't believe the one that said over 500, but the second wasn't much better, at 462
I don't know how much longer to wait for this bouncing to stop, so will no doubt be looking for advice again in the morning.
Since he goes blue midcycle, I'm not sure if raising dose is the answer.

Oh gosh, I bet no one here even knows the movie that refers too. Susan Hayward starred as a woman on death row. I think the 60's, or 50's???

Ella, it was gorgeous here today. I was sure you had the same and was out snowshoing and overheating, doing it.
No frozen pipes....that's why Himself doesn't get dripping water....to avoid it.

Then what was the name of the one, where she was on death row? It was sooooo sad.

Using the Relion meter, he went from
516 ps
490 +1.5
213 +3.5

am I to give more carbs even when he is BLACK, just so he doesn't drop like that?

and this is why I don't give carb to slow the drop...he goes the other way again.
Because he was dropping fast, I gave 1/4 teas gravy at +3.5, to slow it, and he went back up.

Oh Barb, I know, Tess has been doing the same thing Until yesterday, when I started a new pen. How old is yours? I thought you said you might be due for a new one. You will find the answer.

Tess is pretty carb sensative too. I've found that just a little of her regular LC usuall slows her drop enough.
