Casey is bouncing on his pink bounce ball while donning his lovely tutu as Autumn and Alska splash in the lagoon.

I thought our winds were bad on Tuesday but they are worse today. Right now they are sustained at 40mph with gusts over 60 mph. We have a High Wind Warning out for the day. Which scares the bejeezes out of me since Jon is a roofer and he has to try to work in this sh*t. Hopefully they will keep the guys in the shop today.

Oh no... I hope they are sensible enough to not go out and on top of anything there today. Geez... not a good hair day in Nebraska.

Alska is having a one-on-one date with Autumn today. She will definitely get a rose.

He called me after their morning meeting since only 6 guys even bothered to show up those that did come in are staying in the shop and bending metal. Whew because they've been known to send them out in really stupid conditions. He's a commercial rubber roofer so instead of shingles they use thick sheets of rubber. At least the roofs are mostly flat but are also usually very high. Right now they are finishing up a Hy-Vee grocery store and are down to the metal detail work so if they had gone out they would have been dealing with 100ft pieces of sheet metal and trying to hang it while in bucket lifts. So I delighted he's on the ground today.

So glad the "boss" had some sense to not send anyone out on a roof in the wind! Sounds terrible, just terrible! I really, really hate wind, probably more than some other types of weather. Where I live it can be super windy but calm everywhere else, and that's plain annoying.
