Such a lovely start this morning but looks like Zener is headed up. Appy is so-so this morning. We tried the Wellness Core Chicken, Turkey and Chicken Liver yesterday because it's low carbs and low phosphorus. He thinks it's disgusting. Tillie, on the other hand, LOVES it and even ate a little this morning. Don't tell her the can was opened yesterday. :lol: :lol: :lol: Zener did yard patrol in -5 F temperature this morning. He's a tough guy. He's done a little bird watching out the window and now he's back to napping.

Sending U/S vines to Mannie and appy vines to Cleo and Amy's civie triplets. I see Trixie is splashing in the lagoon. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Happy Tuesday, LL!

Hi guys .. nice start zener, but now you've got to turn yourself back around! Sorry to hear the new fuds did not go so well with zener, but it sounds like they were not a complete loss at your house! Have a great day guys!

Not a bad start for Zener. Keep up with the appy Z man. Too funny on the Core. At least Tillie will eat it. Charlie is our garbage disposal. Brrrr on the temp. A nap sounds like a great idea. Have a good day!

I agree with Devon - at least someone ate it! :lol: Too bad it wasn't Zener. Lovely start this morning, and wow on the yard patrol in those temps! Let's turn it around, Zener!

Well, still blue at least. no further now Z-man. We need a big Blue Group of kittehs to greet Mannie when he is done w/ the US! Good luck on the fuds search, I think i must have tried over a dozen different ones before we worked out what Tess would eat. The Max Cat foods are OK, but most of them are sauce and those weird little square cubes, probably liver.

Hey Z-Man, Rusty wants you back in the lagoon!

I didn't try the Core Chicken, Turkey and Chicken Liver because it contains salmon oil (Rusty is allergic to fish oils). He really liked the Core Turkey and Duck (no fish oils; lower carbs than the CT&CL, but somewhat higher in phos.). Why can't there be one perfect food that all of our perfect kitties can (and will) eat?

Thinking good thoughts for Z. tomorrow.

Hmmmm makes me wonder if we have those types of Wellness, i'll have to look the next time i go.

What happened with that PMPS Z-man?! Good job on the yard patrol this morning, today we have +5C, the snow was melting!!

Hi, the Merrick Cowboy Cookout is okay in phosphorus and 5 carbs. It causes a spike for Mags though, but may be ok for Z man. I hope Zener's appy improves. So funny with Tillie liking the Wellness Core. :-D

Zener, dude, come back down!!! Patroling in those temps...yikes!!! I don't think I'd go out at all!!

Core was never a big hit around here, either...I think maybe it's "too healthy!" :roll: :lol:

Happy appy this evening, despite the UGH numbers. And now, the big guy is on the dive again. :shock: Tomorrow afternoon is the U/S so Zener will have a shaved belly to match his buddy Manny's belly. Thanks to everyone for all your kind words and support. :YMHUG:

@Devon - Zener is all about the up and down. And tonight Tillie looked at the same new fud she LOVED yesterday like we were trying to poison her. :roll:

@Melissa & Mr T - well, Tillie ate it yesterday and this morning, but tonight she thought it was disgusting. :twisted:

@Anne & Muffin - Zener is not big on changing things, so it will be a long affair to get him on some different foods. :YMSIGH:

@Ann & Tess - I guess he wasn't reading his condo today. No blue Zener to meet Mannie after the vetty visit. I have tried so many different foods, who knew there were so many. We'll keep plugging away, you never know. :?

@Ella - thanks for good thoughts for tomorrow and the info on the salmon oil. Zener is not a fan of fish, but Tillie is. We have a couple of cans of the Core Turkey and Duck, so we'll try those next. We are so with you on wanting one perfect food that all kitties will love to eat! dancing_cat

@carla - thanks for the good vetty vines and the excellent directions for which way to go. Zener is on his way down like an express elevator. :shock:

@Tracy & Leo - who knows what's up with the PMPS. He's been having a big spike at the end of one cycle a day on a somewhat irregular basis. We keep thinking we may fatten the dose and then we get some nice green numbers followed by a bounce, so we shall be patient. Hope Leo the mighty hunter is feeling better today. :smile:

@Ann & Maggie - we haven't tried the cowboy cookout yet. Our PetSmart does not carry Merrick so we'll get to PetCo this weekend and get a can or two. I tried this with him when we were in the kibble to wet food transition and he wouldn't even lick it. Maybe we will have better success this time.

@Amy - Zener had a picnic and did yard patrol at 8:00, it was still above zero F. Balmy 40s for highs and teens for lows is in our forecast later this week. :lol: :lol: :lol: on the Core being "too healthy".

@Deborah & Shasta - as instructor, the mighty Z is on the way down, like a rock. :roll: We are so grateful to have a nice warm house to curl up in!

We are ready for tomorrow's U/S, and fortunately Zener was a trooper for the last one, so they are not anticipating needing to use any sedation and he can eat his regular meals. We'll report what we learn about his kidneys tomorrow evening.

Hope everyone in LL has a calm and peaceful evening.
