Oh boy we are at a 80 +4
Good for now I am here grooming will keep checking him each hour or less.
Any suggestions at all. I will try to check. Have a 3 legged 120 Lb Golden retriever to groom.
Pray for my back and for Oliver to not go much lower.

Checking in an hour is good. It's best to modify the subject line of your first condo posting of the day to update the BG's and if you want people to keep an eye on your condo.

Wow, green for Oliver! :mrgreen: I know it's scary (and exciting!) when they start showing you those low numbers! When you edit your original subject line as Wendy suggested, you can use the Mr.Greenie icon too, woo hoo! :mrgreen: Hope he surfs nice and safe for you now. Good luck with the grooming, sounds like quite a job! Have a good Wednesday

Fed 2 TB's of gravy/food. He ate that right up. Seems fine sitting in chair cleaning himself. I will check in 30 mins.
My monitor was acting up and reading E 3 which I don't know what that means going to look into it in a min. But finally got it to work
I do have another new one if need be so all is good.
Plenty of HC food and 50 test strips.
Ordered more yesterday

E 3 means recognizing a used test strip? What new bottle? Yes may have to break out the new one.So glad I have the SS to resort to.
Yes I am glad I was here and Yes to going to 2 units again. Earned a decrease for sure.

Hmm that was a quick recovery. Even with a HC treat do cha think? He seems fine and all is going well so far.
I will test again in an hour and double check the monitor and get out the new one in the mean time. I will go down to 2 units again tonight. Right?
Any more ideas or thoughts to such a quick recovery. How to be sure the monitor is OK. Does anyone use that solution to test the machine that it comes with?

I don't use the Contour Next, so can't help you with those questions. You can always prick yourself and see how that compares.
As for the reduction, you can take it tonight if you want. Or if Oliver's BG is really climbing, high 300's or above, then you could shoot through the bounce by giving him 2.25 tonight and go down to 2.0 tomorrow morning.
Learning how much food to give when does require some experimenting. I usually give just a tsp or two of HC, so 2 TBSP might have been a bit much. Next time you can try less. Later in the cycle, some people just use medium carb or higher low carb food. That could also be an experiment sometime. It would be ideal to keep him surfing in normal numbers (below 120) as long as possible to help the pancreas heal.

How do I keep him surfing in the 12o's ? Or was that just a wish? LOL
Ok to the tsps and not Tbs. and to med HC not high late in cycle. Ok to units change depending on levels at PMPS.
I will also test myself to see and test him again in like 30 min.

I need to be away for a few hours this evening. He is at a 329 I have to shoot about 30 mins early. Going to check first in 30 and shot 2 U.
Hope this is fine, but had something come up. I will leave a lil extra food and be back in a couple hours. Please pray all goes well, i have faith it will.
