Hi all,

Jesse is doing fine - no more need for the Miralax. I'm in the process of moving (one trip at a time in my Ford Focus) so I'm pretty much exhausted resulting in my oversleeping this morning. I fed him and took a reading at +17 and it was 132. Two hours later it was 120 (tells me his pancreas is working). His plus 22 reading was 161.

He's been on 2 units for 54 cycles. Although he's had green nadirs he's been in the blue too often to justify a decrease.

Does anyone have an opinion on what my next move should be? I'm thinking to decrease to 1.75u, but I'm not seeing a clear justification for that.

Thanks!

Remember that this cycle also includes shed action from last night's shot. The fact that the numbers dropped doesn't necessarily mean there is pancreas action (sorry!). I don't see anything yet that suggests a dose reduction. He might end up needing an increase to pull the preshots down, but I would wait until you're more settled in so you can do more testing before increasing his insulin.

Good luck with the move. I moved recently, and I hope that was the last time for a while.

Thanks Libby - I forgot about that dang shed action :-D
I'll hold at 2u for now. It still creeps me out though when I shoot 2 units on a green number nailbite_smile

I know, but that is the dose he needs so it is safe. It's usually more work to get them back to the Falls for a second time, so keep on going.
