I'm still having a problem getting the spread sheet up on here. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Anyway I increased Barts insulin last Monday from 2.5 to just under the half mark. He has been in the 300 to 400's. I did a every 3 hour curve on him and seen a change in his numbers from last week. I have posted last weeks and todays numbers. Hopefully I can get my spread sheet transfered to this.

I was going to increase up to 3 but not sure if I should. I'm afraid that he will drop down to fast. He is going to be seeing a new vet next month as I wasn't happy with his last one they only seemed to want my money they didn't show me how to test and they only showed me one spot to shoot. They also wanted to keep him to get him regulated. Which would have cost me. I found a vet that travels to your house. She bought an old parametic truck and uses that. I've heard all good things about her. But until then can anyone give me some advice as to if I should increase I won't beable to until next weekend so I can be home all day. Thanks for the help. Also I've been giving him special Kitty and noticed a change in his numbers was giving him just FF and Friskies but he was getting bored with them.

We just posted an updated spreadsheet and instructions. If you could transfer all of your data to that, it will help us to guide you. I would not increase the dose by 0.5u. Your seeing numbers under 200 which would not warrant that large of an increase. It's difficult to offer a suggestion without more data. If you can get the SS up and attached to your signature, it will help enormously.

Bart was 470 this morning what a let down. I will work on getting the ss later today. Thanks for your help. I was wise not to increase then.

Bart bounced off of the numbers that were below 200. It's a normal reaction by his liver. You don't want to increase the dose on a bounce.

Hi Debby,

Consistency is the key. Keeping Bart's insulin at the same amount for a week is a good thing, sometimes it may take a little more than a week to see results on a new dosage.

It looks as though you are recording Bart's BG readings somewhere, but when you get your spreadsheet up for all the world to see then we can really have an inside look at how well you are working with him. There's a new template that was made recently, it's in the Tech forum. Even if you start with just entering Bart's BG readings for today and then filling in the previous information when you have time, it would be a big help.

Not sure if I got his ss on here if not will try again today. this morning he was 430 but I believe that I got a fur shot in him last night as his back was wet. This has happened to me a couple of times
