Yesterday was such an emotional day. Thank you to everyone who posted on Simon's condo and all your healing vines and prayers. And a special thank you to Claudia who got me through the waiting at the ER. I brought Cleo home from ER about 8:00 last night. They wanted to keep her overnight for IV fluids but I have opted to manage her care at home. Cleo is an extremely nervous cat and has barely ever ventured further than my bedroom. She also has never been around dogs and last night at the ER, there was not one cat...all dogs. I just couldn't imagine her going through the night there. The ER vet says her blood is jaundiced from the liver issues but he can't figure out what the underlying issue is. She has CKD, hear murmur, some pancreas issues or gallbladder issues. Cleo's vet wants me to put in a feeding tube, but I just can't do it. My DH and I have committed to doing everything possible this week to see if we can turn things around. We are assist feeding her throughout the day and I am getting up at night to give her more food and doing all the subq fluids daily (due to the heart murmur, the ER vet says not to bump up the fluids too much). If this doesn't help, I'm not sure where we are headed. Financially, we can't do anything else surgically -- maxed out all my credit cards. I really hoped that her surgery to remove her spleen was the answer to her not eating. No such luck. Please send lots of eating vines for my little Cleo.
Meanwhile, Simon is finding all the dishes that I have left out for Cleo. I thought I put them all up and he always finds the one I forgot. BG shows he had a great buffet yesterday.
Now on to tbp and will come home at lunch to assist feed Cleo.
