Ozy continues to feel poorly. We still think pancreatitis. We made several failed attempts at subQ fluids. Today he got really mad and bit me. I called the vet and found they charge on $16 to administer fluids so we took him over (10 minutes away) and our favorite tech did it. We scheduled to take him in every day through Sunday. If he gets better before that, we can cancel. It was definitely worth the money and effort.

Poor Ozy, I'm sorry he feels icky. Sending him lots of healing vines. It seems there's a few kitties having p'titis episodes lately (JD, Lucy). And that will definitely impact his numbers. $16 seems like a pretty reasonable price for having fluids done.

i have a friend who has the vet do the subq fluids too - in fact my cousin in OK took her cat in for 6 years, twice a week. she said that her kitter was the vet clinic's favorite! i wouldn't be surprised, seeing the kitty often helps them get to know your cat. Good job figuring out an option that works for everybody!

I hope the subq fluids help Ozy feel better! :YMHUG:

Fluids can really help a kitty feel better. We have the stuff to do it at home but it's still somewhat traumatic for us (the needle  ) so it's nice to have the vet tech do it. Do you have something for the pain?

He definitely feels better tonight. It's been 10 hours since bupe and he feels good. We will probably give him bupe soon, though. Before bed, anyway.
