YUMMMMMMMM! It's tradition!, and these pizza pies totally rock! As a side benefit we have TUNA WATER too! Anybody wanna hang out in Mannie's treehouse today? We are opens to anything, so let us know! The zip lines are up and running, we have been testing them! :-D so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are really good today too!

I hope everyone had a great Monday. Mine was great. I survived my DR appt, and all is well. after that I really didn't have anything planned so I decided a hike was in order. Weather wasn't the best, but the Bellingham area looked more promising than most, so I picked I hike I hadn't done before, a ridge hike, and headed on out. It was a great time, despite Strong winds, and threatening rains. Here's what I wrote in last nights post about the day: "Hi everyone. I hope your day has been a good one. I did decide to go hiking. The weather looked doable, so I headed on out after my DR appt, which btw went fine. All is well! I am beat though, so forgive me if I don't get to condos tonight. I hope your kitties have been good kitties. Mine were good while I was gone - only one mess: magazines scattered on the floor.... and Lola... and Bug. I know he helped on on that one. Anyways - I went up to Bellingham to hike the Chuckanut Ridge Trail, after the DR stuff. Rainy drive all the way up there kept me hoping that the weather dudes were right, and that it was rainless in the Chuckanuts. Sure 'nuf: that stopped about 4 miles south of the trail head. YaHOO! And for once the TH was easy to find. The trails themselves however were a whole different matter. Not well marked at all, and there are more than are on the map, so what to choose? LOL: I guessed alot. Figured ridge meant up, so we took the ones that headed up. I did run into a runner about a mile in who confirmed my guesses were OK. sheshhhh..... anyways, it was a nice hike, I enjoyed it. Topside was clouded over, so not too much in the way of views. One can tell though that it would be really nice on a cloudless day. It was cold up there, and those winds! I read somewhere that they were to be in the 19/20 range. I believe it, it was really gusty up there. well no matter, the hike was great, nice challenging trail in some parts, easy in others. I never did make the lake. It was farther than my map said and to do that would have added at least another 3 hours to the day. With pending rains I elected to retrace, revisit the ridge, and then head home. Even with that it was about 9.5 miles, climbed just under 1900 feet, and drove home with a gorgeous sunset. Not too bad. Sorry about the dup photos in the trail album. The upload messed up and duplicated some of them....

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   The kitties were good kitties yesterday, even Lola, for the most part... one scattered pile of magazines, and one leap into the middle of a plant.  But other than that??? GOOD GIRL! I wa about 15 minutes late getting home yesterday from my hike. I cringe when I am late getting home on hike days. Its as if they know the bean was out having fun, and really should have been home on time... there they were waiting at the top of the stairs, the kitty choir in full force: singing away: "you're late!" was the chorus.  Of course they were waiting with that signed copy of that blood oath I signed way back when where I swore I would never be late for fuds.... Elsa was waiting patiently, but leading the chorus. Bug was prancing back and forth on the top step (so so Mannie!), and Lola was up and down the stairs as if to say "HURRY human - so are so slow!" what fun - so I hurried, fed them really good fuds, and said I was sorry I was late. I was forgiven by the evening hours, when all three of them found my lap. it has been a good day for them. Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone. I am meeting my son for breffis this morning. YaHOO! I so love those breffis's. I have a haircut after that, and then I am meeting my friend in Seattle later today, for a coffee get-together. Great day n the works. SWEET!

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

Ooooh, I think that Chyna will like Tuna Tuesday! It's the only human food she gets when I eat it, in tiny amounts of course  What a cute picture! Oh dear on the late fuds. Bad Bean! Don't you know, your time doesn't matter? It's all about the kitties! Have a nice breffis with your son, haircut, and coffee with your frient, Michelle! Sounds like another busy day ;-)

What a wonderful hike. 9.5 miles, wow! It probably didn't seem near that long.

What good kitties. I bet they were near death from starvation. So glad all is forgiven and you were good enough for a lap sit last night. Have a wonderful time with Anthony and coffee!

Oh no on being late. I'm glad the kitties forgave you and gave you some lap time. That sounds like a nice hike yesterday. I hope you had a good breffis with your DS and have a good visit with your friend.

Beautiful hiking pictures - Are the trails well marked? I might be afraid that I would get lost on a new trail :o What a wonderful, peaceful way to work out, and see some of mother nature's wonders.
Glad the crew forgave you quickly! I notice when I am late with fuds, my bunch is not quite so fussy~
Enjoy your day :-D

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. It has been busy here, but a good busy. It was just gloomy all day here, lots of gray ugly clouds, but no rains, temps upper 40's, so ok all around I guess. We did not get any sun, looks like we have to wait until tomorrow for that. My son and I had a nice time over breakfast, He's good, livin' the dream as he always says. He's been busy trying to figure out remodel/repair work on his house. There are alot of questions on the sequence of events, what to do when, etc. there's alot on that plate, from expansion to new electrical to outdoor drainage issues. it's kinda of exciting in a way to plan these things, no mater how far we got with them. He's hoping to get his boss, construction/home business, over one day so they can sit down and come up with a good plan based on his wish list, and is reality list. His cats are good, though the one that always comes home beat up came home beat up again. He's getting very good at treating these wounds on his own. Life seems to be good for him, he was all smiles laughs and good conversation. We had a great time. Made it to Seattle, Barb came through, no cancel. Though she did cut it short, as she had to get back to make sure a program had run, there were no errors so she can give the go ahead to create the pdf files that go to the company that prints the W2's. She's almost done... she will be elated when they are in the mail. I so remember the days. She and I used to work together.... until I hung up my working towel.

Hi Rachel - Tuna Tuesday ROCKS! I so know on the tuna, it was Mannie's fav people food. LOVED the stuff. LOL, and more than true on the fuds, my tardiness, and it being all abut the kitties. :-D THx on today - it was a great time!

Hi Melissa - It was a good one. I really enjoyed the time spent there, and right you are : it didn't seem that long at all. LOL,and yes the kitties did think that were starving.... it was nice to have them lap sit. Cool! Priorities are n place. :-D THX on today - it was great.

Hi Carla - I know on the being late.... Mannie was such a stickler about it all. Such carrying ons when I was late. Nice to see the three musketeers carrying on that tradition. Th son today - it was just that: good times.

Hi Jane - THX on the pics. The trails were marked, more or less. There were several junctions that were not, so I really had to guess alot. It is one of those trail systems were there are several joining ones, and if you pick the wrong one you end up going the wrong way. There was a fork at the beginning which wasn't so I had to guess. I was glad I picked the right one! I agree: a wonderful peaceful way to work out, get the ole cardio going. nice that your bunch isn't so fussy when you are late... I wish mine were that way! silly kitters....

Hi Amy - thx, it was a very cine day. Hike was good, the rest went with the flow. really nice! And even the DR stuff wasn't too bad.

Hi Michelle,
That ridge hike yesterday looks great. Those are neat pics, especially the views of the Sound. Not bad to do a 9-mile hike after having to put up with your yearly physical!! Today's activities sounded like fun, too. Nice that you and Anthony can have breakfast so often, and then coffee with your friend in Seattle. Did you get your hair cut? I managed to get mine cut, but not by the hairdresser who usually cuts it: she fell on the ice and broke her wrist! So I stayed in our village and got a haircut in the barbershop here.

I hope your weather improves for tomorrow's outing with the boys. How nice that the kitties have been so good this week (relatively speaking  ).

Have a fine evening,

Ella & Rusty

Yo Elsa, the zip line was great today after curling practice and before party planning. Are you all set for tomorrow? Will you be flying the jet? If so, put the skis on it so you can land on the ice. Come early, OK? And please tell Bug and Lola that pizzas are definitely on the menu.
~ Rusty

Hi Ella - Yes, that hike was alot of fun - I really enjoyed the trail itself, and the views. They would be even better when it is sunny day. I will have to go back when that is the case. It was a good distance too. I might have gone furtehr if it had been warmer, and I had started a it earlier in the day. There is a lake nearby that would be nice to visit but that would have added another three hours to the hike. so I postponed that part. I think so too on the breffis time with Anthony. I really enjoy it, it is a great way to catch up, keep in touch. it works well for both of us. YES on the haircut. I did! it was sorely needed. Sorry about your hairdressing.... I hope she is OK. Me too on the weather for the boys - so far things look good. :-D lol on Lola....

Rusty! DUDE! I AM READY! I will fly the jet, and skis have been attached, Bug helped! He is very good at that mechanical stuff... I will come very early, ~O) in tow. OK's too on the pizza - PawPrints pizza i ready to go too. They've been preppin' all day! See ya in the morning! ~~ Elsa
