…well….no great progress to report….. I keep increasing the dose but not getting much in terms of action. Switched from gabapentin to bupe (he isn’t too thrilled with the bupe administration, the gaba he ate in food no problem but he doesn’t love a syringe in the mouth as used with bupe) and not sure how that’s suiting him anyway?….. He’s getting 0.1cc 2x day.
his appetite is still good so I’m thankful for that….but I wouldnt say he is entirely himself…not sure how to assess him for pain, he doesn’t have any sure sign “tells” other than elevated BG….which could be….something else? He’s quiet…but the weather is atrocious so less playtime opportunities outside which always makes him a bit sad.
we see the vet tomorrow….I’m not sure what tests they are going to want to run…I’m at a bit of a loss…perhaps checking for another uti makes sense, I’m not sure he had one in the first place when admitted to er with pancreatitis as the culture came back negative…I think…major difficulty understanding the er vets English. Hopefully my vet gets us on track tomorrow, poor herm.
