I think I got a fur shot last night. One of those things where you have the spot pulled up and in view but your hand a needle go elsewhere. Still a good number for Alska.

Re: 1/14 Alska AMPS=249

You know after 3 years of shooting I don't even really consciously look where I shoot. Its become just one more of those things that I can do in my sleep. lol

Alska ...Autumn and Casey will have an extra towel with them should you decide to join them at the Blue lagoon. They left for Ye Olde Swimmin Hole early this morning.

Max is hangin' out with Alska in the sun this morning. Fingers crossed they can both see some blue later.

I caught Mikey licking his injection spot three times in the last week. Makes me wonder if he's been giving himself fur shots all along by licking the insulin right out! ohmygod_smile Either that or he's being overly fastidious in his grooming lately.

Re: 1/14 Alska AMPS=249

Alska is obsessed with cleaning - I wonder if itchiness is related to FD. He couldn't begin to get anywhere near his injection spot. Mikey's talent for sucking insulin back out might just be original

Re: 1/14 Alska AMPS=249

I just gave them a round of Revolution a couple of weeks ago and they both seem to be suffering from dandruff in the area where I gave it to them (scruff) and excessive grooming since then. :YMSIGH: And we STILL have fleas. :-x

I shoot his flanks. ;-)

Re: 1/14 Alska AMPS=249

Sorry to say but I've found Revolution isn't worth the gas money to bring it home even if I walked to buy it. Duvessa also has a permenate bald spot between her shoulder blades from the one and only dose she was given by the vet. Not to mention several scars on her face from her clawing her face from the allergic reaction.

The only flea treatment I'll use on the crew is Advantage not only does it kill the fleas on the cat in under an hour it kills them in the house as well in a couple days. Plus you can get the large canine version and divide it up for the cats.

Re: 1/14 Alska AMPS=249

Thanks, Mel! My vet switched from Advantage to Revolution in between this batch of kitties and my previous cats. Where I'm at, we only get fleas about once or twice a year (or not at all on good years), so I haven't used it on either of them more than twice yet. Next time, I'll have to see if they still carry the Advantage because when I noticed issues the first time around with the Revolution, I thought maybe it was related to something else. This time around, I know it's from the Revolution.

Alska ran by the swimmin hole to say hello on his way to lie in the grass with Autumn.
This wonderful image flashed thru my head when I read this. I just pictured this blurred, streak of white flashing quickly by a swimming hole of bright blue water with an ignored rope swing overhanging so that Alska could lay down close to Autumn and snuggle and maybe turn his belly up to the sun.
