Hi Folks and thank you for all the suggestions. Julie I will get to his introduction and things as soon as I can. They are great ideas.

Today he is talking and complaining this morning. He has had it with the ear pricks. I gave him the .5 dose for the third time. He is laying in his sun beams happy as a lark. Food went well I bought some of the friskies pate since he was beginning to eat less last week. I discovered he really likes them so I will stop and get the new syringes and pate after work. His output is fine and his ketones are negative. So I feel okay going off to work.

Thank you everyone you all are amazing!

Linda

Happy Monday! I know, the ears can be sensitive...are you giving treats after? They do help...I give purebites freeze dried ones :-D I'm glad he likes his new fuds! Have a great day :-D

hi linda! just cheering you and scooter on. i'm hoping for some better numbers tomorrow.

the comments in his spreadsheet say "Bear was holding Scooter down and biting him, perhaps senses he is sick." Your description of him this morning sounds like he's feeling good. i saw the ketones were negative. do you mean he's behaving like he feels sick, or do you just mean because he's diabetic.

if he feels sick we might need to change his dose. he's still on an extremely low dose considering he was getting 4u before the switch to lev. we don't want to invite ketones in. Is he eating ok?

Yes! he is eating really well. His ketones are negative.

Bear is a 6 month old kitten we rescued with his sister from a horrible situation. He is a huge neutered tom with huge paws and body, Scooter is a tiny cat a mere 7.2 pds at last weigh in. I think he was just trying to power over Scooter. It starts with cleaning and leads to Bear holding him down and biting him. He started this in December after dx. At first Scooter likes it and it always ends with crying but now I separate them at night and when I am gone in order to give Scooter peace.

I hope this doesn't mean he is sick. None of his other fur friends do this to him just Bear.

oh, ok. *whew* that just sounds like an enthusiastic kitty! i've got two 8 month old kittens and they are pretty wild! lots of wrestling and biting too.

i was worried that you were seeing symptoms that said Scooter was feeling crummy.
