My boy is looking good. How many more time do we do the food test, meaning test, feed, pick up food for 3 hrs, then retest?

We are pretty excited! This has been a 8 month journey. One good thing about Covid, is that I was able to be home to test my boy. Hoping he never needs insulin again, but if he does, I will know what to do, thanks to this group!

I think Marje mentioned you could start the OTJ trial today. Go Gideon! :D
Oops....yes, Marje did say we could start today. I just reread her message. So, I think after we test him at the 3+ hour today, we will be considered on the OTJ trial for 14 days. We will test at the normal AM & PM times for the 14 days.
Even if he does well, I think we will test once daily for a while, after the 14 day OTJ trial. I am a bit paranoid and want to catch any issues early.
If testing once daily, what is the best time?

When Furball was in remission I tested daily for a couple of months at AMPS and PMPS times. Furball was used to the routine and wanted loving any way. I tested weekly after that, usually at PMPS time. You can find what works for you. There is not set time to test after they go into remission, but if you test after they eat that could make their numbers higher.

Change your title to say OTJ trial day One AMBG 75. Feed as you always do. Next test will be a PMBG. Congrats on a perfect start to you OTJ trial.:D
