Yesterday's Condo

Looks like I've got a flat blue cat again today. Better than a flat yellow one. Appy is beyond happy and all else is well. I'm hoping to see a little more action in the next day or so (but please, Cinco, not tomorrow afternoon when I have to take Minka to UCD), or else......;)

The usual appy issues today with the civvies. I guess I need to stock back up on FF, as that seems to be what Minka wants. I wish I could get her eating something lower in Phos, but the Oncologist said to feed her whatever she'll eat, and she seems to not like Wellness, or even Dave's anymore.

Cold is still annoying and fingers still hurt like heck. I have a call in to the rheumatologist to see if she can get me in for a shot soon. I really HATE those shots, but they do usually help.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF & DH, Lisa's DF and Elise's DM. Hooray for Trixie feeling better!!!:woot:

I hear ya on the FF...as you know, that is one of Trix's only choices, too....stinks since the phos is through the roof, but a lo phos fuds isn't any good if they won't actually eat it. I have learned that even though the numbers sound bad, Trix has done OK with the FF, despite it's nasty phosphorous value. ECID...and it's so hard for us beans when we KNOW something is healthier for them, but this is just another way of the kitties proving THEY are in charge and not us.

Flat blue isn't bad....better than cannonballs! A little green, Cinco....but keep it safe, OK?

Feel better, Tricia!!

Max too eats ff. he likes Stella & Chewy's but there is a problem getting it right now so I'm glad he's not only eating it now. The frozen is available but not the freeze dried. I'll find out if he is still okay when I take him in next week in prep for a dental. I was supposed to recheck his calcium but never did so I'm nervous about this next appointment. So far he is hanging with Cinco.

Looks like Cinco watched Mo' Better Blues today!

Now we just have to get him to get inspired by some different movies...How about Fried GREEN Tomatoes, How GREEN was my Valley, or The GREEN Mile!...LOL

Sorry the arthritis is still so bad Tricia. I hear you on the shots...they're no fun at all, but they do seem to usually help. It's just getting through the first day that's hard.

Hope Minka's appointment goes well tomorrow!

Yay for a pretty darn good report on da kitties!!!!

Hopefully you can get in for a shot that will make you feel better and Minka's appointment goes awesome....

Hey Cinco! So fun pwaying da other day....iz hopin you come down and pway again? ~ Skooter

Flat blue. Ahhhhhh, we wish for that here.

But I have to add one to Chris' movie list...a fav from my childhood: The Boy with Green Hair.

Vines and more for the UCD visit tomorrow. And for your hand. Succesful procedures all around.

Marilyn and Polly

Flat blue is ok in my books. Very nice! Tricia, I hope you feel better. Shots are no fun, but hopefully it will help.
Simon loves FF. I try to get him to eat better food, but he will eat it for one day and that is it. I have to keep trying every 3rd or 4th day, but he keeps wanting FF!

Thanks for the visits and vines, everyone. Dinner was a big success. I finally learned my lesson and skipped the group entree and gave Minka FF. She ate it very happily. It dawned on me that I could look at some lower phosphorous foods that have higher carbs, since I'm only feeding it to her. I hadn't even thought about that! So I have more options. I'll be hitting the pet food stores tomorrow while she's having her chemo.

Skooter, I'm hoping Cinco will be playing in the lagoon with you again soon (but not, I repeat NOT tomorrow afternoon). He had fun, too!

Yes, flat blue is good, but couldn't it be flat LOW blue? I know, I'm greedy! :p

Got an appt with my rheumatologist. She can't fit me in until Friday. It always frustrates me how hard it is to get in for a shot. You'd think they'd leave a little leeway in their schedule for that, since you need the shot NOW, not in four days, and no one else will do cortisone shots in fingers. o_O:(

Hi Tricia, Have you tried Friskies special diet T & G? Lots of the kitties seem to like that and it is lower in phos. I would feed it to Rusty, but they don't say what kind of "meat by-products" are in it, and he's allergic to beef. So we stick with FF T&G.

Sending good vines for Minka tomorrow. And good luck to you on getting that shot.

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Thanks for your kind words about my friend.

Max was eating Hills Ideal Balance which is lower phosphorus and really liked it so that's one you might consider.

Let's see some lower blue tonight and tomorrow Cinco. I hope you can get a shot to help your pain, Tricia.

Hi Tricia! Vines coming your way for pain relief, and good vetty visit vines for Minka tomorrow. Fingers crossed that Cinco gives you a nice reasonable low blue surf tomorrow.

Have a good evening!

Sorry I missed your condo yesterday! I hope all goes well for Minka at UCD and that you find some new fuds! If you have a Whole Foods, they are supposed to carry Nulo and the Phos numbers are good for nearly all the varieties. I finally got it int he LC/Low Phos tab on Tess's SS.

Just tslked to the Nulo rep, the Medal ,series sold at PetSmart, is the same as the Freestyle I got the numbers for. They all look good for both Carbs and Phos!

@Ann & Tess , I wish I'd seen your post earlier. I stopped at a Pet Food Express today and they had Nulo, but since I'd never heard of it and didn't know anything about it, I didn't buy any. I'll be back in Sac Friday for my shot and the store is just down the street from my doctor's office, so I'll swing by and pick some up. THANKS!
