Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night sleeping and only ate about half of his nighttime food. This morning he has put a dent into his breakfast, so I hope that it will all be consumed by lunchtime (this is his pattern these days). We enjoyed a combing, and he has spent most of the morning in his perch over the radiator. No schmooze today, but I fell asleep waiting for him to come to schmooze. Now I'm making up for lost time (you use up a lot of good time sleeping!! I dreamt I was playing a recital, turned the page, and found no music, but a paper bag. OMG!!!)

We have light snow and milder weather today, but a deep freeze is coming for tonight (-5 -10 degrees F.). It's good that the lakes are freezing, because soon they'll be cutting ice blocks to construct the ice palace for Winter Carnival.

Wishing all a good day and sending vines to Trixie and all kitties and beans in need of some.

Wow, it is COLD there. YAY on the lakes, and winter carnival. I so remember all the kitty adventures at winter carnival. :cool:

I missed your annifursary! Happy happy 5th annifursary to you and Rusty. Hard to believe. How fast time flies. Time for the winter carnival already? It always sounds so beautiful. Good job with that blue Rusty and eating your fuds. Us beans love that stuff. Have a great day Ella!

Love the dream. I suppose the paper bag could come in handy for hyperventilating at the shocking discovery of no music! I occasionally still dream that I can't find my classroom. Five minutes between classes and I'm running through the gauntlet of hallways looking for a room I never find. Awake in a panic.

Dear Friends,

Rusty is having a "rest day" in the blue grotto. He enjoyed his lung treat and had good appetite. He's waiting for us to come downstairs to sit with him and serve him his dinner on the couch (of course he won't simply walk a few feet over to his dish and eat!).

Tonight I have to be mostly absent from the board: I am very sad because I just learned that my oldest friend is dying. He may be gone by morning (is refusing food and drink). We have been pals since 1945--partners in crime, adventurers. I will miss him tremendously.

I'll be thinking of you and your kitties even though I won't be visiting many condos this evening.

So very sorry to read about your dear friend. I know it will be a hard time and hope you have many wonderful memories to comfort you. I am sure rusty will do his best to help too.
