Yesterday (anniversary condo)

Good Morning Everyone,
I'm on my way to Lake Placid to get my car serviced and expect to be there all morning, at least. So I'm getting an early start on the board. Rusty had a good night and at present is waiting for me to schmooze with him (but he'll not be getting his schmooze until this afternoon: poor, disappointed kitty). Our weather is warm (in the 40s) with rain. It's a mess out there. Tonight the temperature will be dropping into the teens and it will all be a sheet of ice. No real snow in sight. Bummer!

Oh rain would be so great! Our snow plow piles are taller than me now and its only January. Hope the car didn't cost to much and nice numbers Rusty!

My car needs a major repair (actually the repair--an oil leak in a gasket in the timing belt-- is not major, but it is in an inaccessible spot and will require about 6 hours of labor!). I have to take the car back in next Tuesday because some parts have to be ordered. Not what I wanted to hear today! It is actually dangerous to drive because the oil is leaking onto the exhaust manifest, so we'll not be going anywhere this weekend. But since we don't have any good snow and are not expecting any, that's OK. I need to work on my lecture in any event.

Rusty and I did get in a short schmooze this afternoon. Now he's off to the big party. I'm off to work on my lecture. bbl,
