Good snowy morning, Everyone,

We are getting some of the fringes of the big coastal storm. Should make for good skiing today (our group is going to ski the golf-course loop trails in Tupper Lake and then have chili and beer at a friend's hose).
Rusty is having a good morning. AMPS looks a bit high, but it includes food and a terrible test (couldn't get blood, left the strip in the meter too long; didn't have the heart to do it over). He had a good shot, however, at the new dose (skinny 0.5), ate a good breakfast, and we played for about an hour and a half with Red Ears, the string, Big Bug, the cube, the scratcher. He wanted to play even more, but I have to get something done before I head out to ski! Counting late last night, all Ps are accounted for.

Everyone have a good, cozy day if you are snowbound (and it looks like a lot of folks are affected by this storm).

Morning Ella and Rusty! Rusty sure does like to play - how nice is that?

More snow! Lucky - and enjoy your skiing today. Skiing, chili and beer - enjoy! It sounds like a very good time. We got some snow last night too, though it has started to rain now, so I am sure it will be gone shortly.

Rusty seems to be such a happy cat, so nice to read your condos
enjoy your sking and friends. Stay safe and warm though

Re: 1/12 Rusty AMPS 135

Rusty must be one of the most playful cats. Or else he's still a kitten at heart! What a great reports (except for the test). I hope you have a wonderful ski day. The chili & beer sounds like fun to me.

Hi Ella,

I'm snowbound. We got about 15" so far and it's still snowing. But it is a nice cozy feeling to be home with the woodsove and the pets.

Rusty is such a happy kitty in his new home. It's always nice to read about him. Nice amps too.

Have fun skiing. Sounds like a great time.

Hi again,
Never did get out in the snow. Roads are bad and we decided to cancel. Probably just as well, as I have spent the day trying to ignore a migraine! Another bad bg test at +5: took 5 tries to get a speck of blood. I am surely losing my touch!!! Took a nap and my head is worse!!! But the snow is BEAUTIFUL and still coming down.
Later,
Ella & Rusty

HAPPY SNOW!!! I am sorry though for your headache - never fun. I hope you get relief from it soon. Relaxing evening, watching the snowfall, kitty on the lap - a sure fire cure-all.

Sorry for the poke thing - sometimes it is just what happens. Drives me bonkers when it does - I too feel like I need to go back to pokey school.

Have a good night guys - stay warm.

Nice PMPS for Rusty!!!

I get migraines too. For my one sided temple ones I have a medicine that works wonders if I take it within 20 minutes of onset. But when my eyes are sensitive polarized brown lense sunglasses are the best! Take the glare of everything even indoor lights and makes light bearable. Only 30% of triggers are known unfortunately :(

I've been having trouble with Maverick's ears for a few days too. Wonder if the moon affects their ears - a number of other people have posted the same thing in the past couple days.

Ok Ella...you sure you didnt start with the chili and beer at your friend's hose? Too cute.
But then I read you are getting your much wanted snow, along side a much UNwanted migraine. :YMSIGH:
I hope the migrain clears quickly and the snow stays for a very long time (only because you love it so much).

Wishing you a restful and pain free evening.

What a great, green day! It's crazy cold here, and chili and beer sounds so good (even if in somebody's hose. heh)!

Have a great night!

Re: 1/12 Rusty AMPS 135, +5 93, PMPS 101

Thanks, guys, I'm feeling much better this evening. It wasn't one of the 3-day variety, only 1 day!! Karrie, thanks for the brown lenses tip. I have to get new glasses in a couple of weeks, so I'll look into them. I don't get too many migraines any more, thank goodness!.
Rusty had a good test at PMPS: only 1 poke!

Everyone have a good night.

Ella & Rusty

Looks like I'm not the only one up for awhile tonight. :)

The brown lenses do work well! I actually had to kill the fluorescents in my office and switch to lamps (thankfully, I have my own office so I don't share lighting) because I was getting a horrible migraine every day at 3:00.

I found out I was horribly deficient in vitamin D. Since starting a prescription D regimen, my migraines have decreased dramatically! I was going through a box of Imitrex or more a month... now, I tend to get a headache or two around my cycle, but that's about it. Have you done a headache diary/id'ed your triggers, etc.? I found that really helpful as well.

Hope you guys have a good surf tonight!
