AMPS 377 :-Q

Not a very pretty number this morning unless you like the color pink which we don't! Somebody forgot to tell somebody's DH to add the fat back to this morning' s dose......my guess it was that same "incompetent" somebody that does not wake up for nightime checks. The Putster is very quiet this morning as he usually is when this high. All p's fine. cat_pet_icon

We have a big storm going on with heavy wet snow and high winds. The next town over from me has already lost power so it is a possible that we may also lose it. A good day to bake and clean.

Come on down Putty.

Miriam, I think you should get that incompetant someone to do the cleaning, and you can do the baking. Whatcha baking? :-D

Putty come down from that pink floor, nothing nice up there for you. And bring Tray with you.

Enjoy your baking, bake something extra sweet and fattening to keep you warm today

Hi guys .. sorry to see the pink on putty this morning .. mocha's wearing it too .. what's up with that? Hope you don't lose power today, that really stinks! Have a great day!

call me an idiot, but how do you bake without electricity? or are you planning to have the baking fully done before you lose power? what happens if it's mid-way baking when you lose it?

~ wcf .... who is a dunce when it comes to all things winter-related

ps - how much white stuff did you get so far? spoke to our consultants up in CT this morning, they have a foot already and are expecting 20 inches

we had much less

oh, miriam...you put me to shame, gal!

i just flash the cast and leg brace and lounge around!

hope you don't lose the electricity!

Miriam, sorry about Putty's pink number today. I hope you don't get too much snow although I saw on the news that you are going to get hit pretty hard. Definitely a good day to stay inside. Stay warm and I hope your electricity stays on.

Sounds like DH is in deep kim-chi...but I bet the Putster still loves him

Susan that "imcompetent" one is not DH.....it is his spouse....did I confuse you more.

WCF: of course I could not bake without power...even my Easy Bake Oven has to be plugged in. I meant if we did not lose power which we did lose at 8am EST for 6 hours. Just got it back so now I can clean and bake....or maybe just read my book.

The poor Putster does not like being cold. His numbers have not improved very much.

I won't call you an idiot, WCF, as I had the same thought! I figured it out though. She must be making chocolate chip cookies, and if the power goes out, she can still have chocolate chip cookie dough (which is even better).

i'm feeling even more clueless than ever. unbaked chocolate chip cookie dough is edible? confused_cat

also feeling hungry all of a sudden ...

If you had a wood stove with a wood oven, you could bake away to your heart's content (and have heat, too)! In our previous camp (which was off the grid) the stove had an oven that worked on propane gas or wood. We never worried about power outages because all of our power was always available (gas and kerosene lamps; the stoves). Wish we had something like that now!!

Hey Putty, it's time to come down. Wake up and smell the baking (or the reading)!

Just stopping by to say hello - we had the same storm in GA a few days ago and still have the ice to show for it! But, we never lost power. I prepared by filling the freezer (not so smart if the power had gone out!) and doing laundry! And stocking up on cat fuds! Putty, your ss looks as colorful as Brownie's lately... What are you two up to?!!

I suspect the brownies are ready by now!

Glad you survived the outage AND that it came back on.
I went 3 days w/o this winter! grr_red

Sorry about Putty's numbers. You know he can bring 'em back down.

Returning to our regularly scheduled program....baking!
