Good day everyone here in LL!

I have been doing some training for a potential job placement, work at home. It has been a little grueling since I have not worked in many years and I am not used to this type of work but I passed the training so yay me!!!

Now about my girl: Morgaine pee'd the bed again in the middle of the night. It was deliberate and she knows it is wrong. She got up on the bed and I was about to cuddle her when all of a sudden, as she purred, she looked me in the eyes and pee'd, swung aroung fast and sprayed me a little and ran off. I was really angry and she knew it and she knew she did it and it was not okay. So my next step is acceptance and awareness that she will do this when she wants to. She is a cat and who can figure them out? She seems fine and so I am just going to wash the linens and protect the mattress with a double layer of protection and accept. Fortunately my cleaning gals will be here soon.

I do not think i have ever been as angry at her as i was this AM and she knew it. Fortunately I am no longer there and just want to live in harmany with her and accept her behavior as something I can not control. Like I said, there was a deliberate quality to what I saw her do. Maybe she was angry because I was not available to her for the 3 days I sat at the computer and did the training. Of course any suggestions are welcome. At this point I am not going to keep her out of the bedroom. I need to get back to normal, whatever that is. :smile:

Meanwhile Morgaine is doing pretty well. She had an active cycle with much green the night before last and then had a day of elevated numbers, her typical bounce. Moving on.......

Sending out healing vine and warm thoughts to all in need. I am going to go read condos today and catch up.

Congrats on finishing the training!! WOOOTT!!!

You are a very wonderful bean to realize that Morgaine is acting out and trying to just accept it. If you think it would help, I have a wonderful AC here in Tucson who could talk to Morgaine and see what might be bothering her.
I know you just bought all those brand new linens.....I think you have a right to be upset.

Perhaps a little extra TLC today will help her....I know you give her tons of attention but if it was because you were doing the training...maybe just one on one time today might help her.

I don't have a lot of advice to add since I'm new but I just wanted to say I liked her name. Did you name her after Mists of Avalon? That's my favorite book.

Anyway, this might sound weird, but Seth Green was on Conan the other night and he said that he had a cat that was peeting outside the litterbox. They tried everything and then someone suggested a pet psychic. He said he thought it was nuts but they tried everything else, why not. Well the psychic said the cat was afraid of the dark and peed on other stuff at night. They put up nightlights and viola, the cat doesn't pee outside the box any more.

My three have all been acting out because I've been very unavailable to them this week.
Yesterday, Binks actually pulled down the suit i had hung out prior to an interview and peed all over it :roll:

Hi guys .. good for you on completing your training! Sorry to hear morgaine deliberately peed on your bed .. It's one thing when it's an accident but when it's on purpose it's frustrating .. It is however a nice solid blue start to the day!

Marje, I am going to pass on the AC right now. Until I get some work, I do not have any extra money to spend. Maybe later. I would love to know why and if there is anything I can do about it.

Morgaine was named after the character in Mists of Avalon. Petite she is not but I loved the book and the character. It is also my favorite book. I have read it a few too many times.

Celi, wow on the pee'd suit. I guess they do have their ways. You really have helped me to be more accepting and forgiving because you seem to take this all in stride. I am so ashamed at how angry I got with Morgaine. She ran away from me in fear after we hissed at one another. Yes, I hissed back at her when she got pissy….pun intended :lol: . Then I did a BG test to see if I stressed her out and raised her BG. Fortunately I hadn't and of course she got her usual freeze dried treat so I am really messing her up in the head. Consistent I was not.

I truly love my girl but wasn't feeling it so much during our little "fight".

Gals took the sheets and blanket home to wash for me and now we start with clean stuff. I won't be buying new linens again. I have lovely sets that I will rewash a couple of more times and just use them New, used, doesn't seem to matter. I did and have been spraying Feliway on the bedding and i am wondering if that actually triggered this episode. It is supposed to stop the inappropriate peeing but Morgaine is a quirky calico so maybe she pees when she smells the pheromone.

Congrats on your job!!

I think it's totally appropriate that you let Morgaine know how unhappy you were with her behavior. You love her, you're willing to deal with knowing she might get pissy (pun intended :razz: ) at any time. I admire your attitude. Hissing at her is speaking her language.
