Maggie did a lot of "digging" while confined to the laundry room this AM. I tested again hoping this was a wonky strip. Her appy has been off for a few days. She licks her lips or smells food and turns away. I've been topping meals with fish flakes to get her to eat. Once she gets started I can tell she's hungry and she usually finishes the bowl. I gave her Pepcid AC for the first time last PM, but there was no change. I've been using marshmallow root. I was thinking of asking my vet for ondansetron based on what I read on Tanya's. Any opinions on ondansetron are welcome.
Happy Friday!! Stay warm my friends!

I have always used Cerenia too. The nice thing about Cerenia is that you can give it as a shot - Mandarin and Walter are both really difficult/impossible to pill, so giving a shot is much easier for me.

Do you have any idea what is making her nauseous?
No, I don't know what is causing the nausea.

I read on Tanya's that it stings? Not in your experience? Sounds rather expensive too.
The Pepcid may take a few doses.
Good to know. I won't give up on it yet.
Don't have an opinion about it regarding cats, but as a human, it was a lifesaver for me and worked very, very well!
OK, so another dual purpose drug. ;) Just kiddin'!

I think something upset her, when MEME had nausea her BG never jumped high but when something is bothering her like stomach or maybe her teeth that can cause high BG.

I hope Maggie feels better soon:bighug:.

I’ve used ondansetron and cerenia together because they address nausea through different modalities. You can give them both orally. I keep them both here all the time just in case. I’m not a Pepcid fan and I’d rather give ondansetron and cerenia.

Many vines for Maggie.
