Good morning World! Yesterday

AMPS 305

KT's in fine form this morning - he and Snow spent about half an hour playing 'Friday Night Throwdown' about 4am. There's white and gold hair everywhere. Neither has nose scratches so guess it didn't get too out of hand. I also see every one of their toys all over the place - they had lots of fun.

Still requesting prayers today for Sir Scruffs. He's is still full of fluid this morning. He took both his pills by himself with chicken this morning - such a wonderful baby. I've pulled his water but offer a drink every short while. He's got a good 2 pounds of fluid if not more. I cleaned several small pee's from his lb this morning so at least he's trying. He's still so full of purrs and love - PLEASE LASIX, WORK!!!! I'm so scared that we're not going to get this fluid off before his heart can't take any more. I'm a basket case about now....it hasn't even been 2 weeks since we lost Peanut. I'm still at peace with Peanut's crossing but this is bringing it all back...

I'm still taking my ab's - feeling better but still coughing a lot. I've been dumping lots of extra vitamins in hubby, he's actually starting to improve greatly.

HUGS TO ALL TODAY!!!

EDIT TO ADD: When I was at the vet's office yesterday, I asked him about the number of diabetic cats they diagnose. He said that within the last 6 months, they have diagnosed a "HUGE" amount of new diabetics compared to years previously. Wonder why? He did say that everyone was learning to shoot insulin rather than PTS!!!!!! That's a HUGE change from the past and makes me smile. I gotta so put together something to leave there to share FDMB!

Re: 1/12 KT AMPS 305 Have THREE Pee's!!

WHAT A WONDERFUL REPORT!

AND WE'RE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU, SIR SCRUFFY! C'MON, BUDDY...YOU CAN DO IT!
(love the pic!)

hope you and DH feel better right away, lyresa.

My vet is great, and started checking out the FDMB right away for education, but what got the older vets
at her practice involved was hearing that we were calling her "Mandy Moorevet" in posts :-D
They logged on for the humor, and were totally impressed by the education and knowledge available here ;-)

Re: 1/12 KT AMPS 305 Have THREE Pee's!!

Hi Lyresa: Hope to see KT come down a little off that pink floor today....he's almost that lovely sunny color!!

Sending prayers for Sir Scruffy and glad that he has peed. Come on buddy....let it flow!!!!! Hoping the lasix really kicks in soon. Be sure you keep an eye on his renal values.....just sayin'.

Interesting info from your vet....maybe he will allow you to put one of the posters up! I also have the ppt presentation I did for our vets in Nov if you'd like to send that to him. Just let me know.

Also sending you and DH healing vines...hope you both feel better soon.

Feel better soon, Lyresa :YMHUG:

KT's doing a nice slide today,

AMPS-305

+5-207

Scruffy pee count - up to four, maybe five. He's still got lots of it in his legs and feet and can't lay all the way down comfortably. I'm still as worried but it seems to be working.

BIG HUGS to everyone,

Lots of PEE, 1,2,3, (and still counting)! Come on, Scruffy!!

Doin' well, KT.

Hi Lyresa. We are thinking of you and hoping that Scruffy will get rid of that fluid. Glad to hear that the beans are feeling better.

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty

I would call and ask if you can up the lasix dose safely and taper back once the fluid is removed. He may not be on high enough a dose. I don't have a plumbs guide so I can't look up the range for you and I don't know cats. But I would call and mention his discomfort. How often are you giving the lasix?

Also I was thinking - will Lasix deal with the fluid in his legs? I know with dogs that get the fluid in the abdomen, a lot of dogs get taps done to remove the fluid. Sorry I'm making things complicated.

OMG!!! OMG!!! I'm now angry and even more concerned - I'm not giving the enalapril tomorrow as this makes sense. I was wondering about this exact thing.

What about giving him some Fortiflora? Pedialyte?

Hugs...very tired...
