Off to a not so great start today with a pink and a red, sigh. Gave some R to try to get him out of those really icky reds and making sure the patience pants are pinching.

This is cycle 4 since the increase and he dropped a tiny bit before seeming to head back up. Giving it 6 cycles to see what happens or the boy gets another increase.

Oh, Jack....pink and red colors don't suit you at all ! Far more relaxing to be in blues and greens. Once you try them on, I'm sure you feel what a good fit they are for you

Maybe the high before the low trick Jack or delayed NDW (can happen in the first 2-3 days) since it's been a long time he's had an increase. Down Jack!

357 @ +4 that is an improvement... We've moved from a D+ to a C- for the day, lol. Hopefully he can keep the momentum going and sneak out of the pinks today.

He isn't normally the high before the low kind of cat.... but at this point I'm not sure much IS normal about him. I'm trying to convince myself that is the case. At least he is headed in the right direction today.

I'm still waiting to hear back from RVC about shipping costs. I didn't bring up the MSU test option since I wanted to see if they would cover the costs first since it is their trial. If they aren't willing to cover shipping then I'll pull out the MSU card and see if that would work for them.

Between the R this morning and the recent increase he is still headed in the right direction. I won't complain, just mumble a bit.

Heard back from the RVC, there is so much misinformation between myself, the RVC, the vet and others interested in the trial it is starting to get amusing.
They told my vet it had to be FedEx'd in a cooler with dry ice, they told me a padded mailer will work and room temp is fine. It was mentioned they would cover shipping, but Chris responded:

I apologise but we cannot offer to cover the cost of the postage because we are not receiving any direct funding for this particular research. I wish I could help more but as always it comes down to funding.

So it *appears* I can ship in a standard padded mailer according to Chris, however, I'm still trying to find out what the regulations are for shipping blood to the UK... I've found good docs on shipping within the US and since it is for blood testing it is not too complex. Add in the international shipping and it could get more interesting. This is turning into a lot of work, but at least some encouraging news on the shipping end since the cost would be significantly cheaper shipping without dry ice and a cooler.

Two steps forward, one step back, but I'm still moving so progress is being made!
