Bama is staying in his bed most of the time, no longer gets up for his preshot tests whereas he used to meet me at the door. He does eat some if I bring food to him and will maybe get up to eat more comfortably. Threw up last night sometime between PM+4 & +8. Gave him a gelcap containing Ondansetron & Famotidine @ PM+8. Called around and found a pharmacy who will order the injectable Ondansetron from their supplier. Should be in today. Plan to increase his fluids to 150 mls per day and give the injectable Ondansetron to help him feel more comfortable. I still have a couple more oral tablets and can probably get the vet to script more if the injectable does not work out.

Wondering if it is his high phosphorus that is bothering him. Did the vet indicate when another round of bloodwork needs to be done to see how his kidney values have responded to treatment?

No, the vet didn't indicate when I should bring him in for bloodwork. It has been 5 weeks since the last round. I'm increasing the fluids based on my own assessment of his needs. I'll give the additional fluids and Ondansetron a few days before contacting the vet again. I have 2 1000ml bags of fluid on hand which @ 150mls per day should last nearly 2 weeks. Vet authorized more through Chewy.com and they were quick to get the fluids to me when I placed the order.

I wouldn't describe his appetite as good this morning but he has eaten some. I'm trying to keep up with the amount of water added to his food and syringed into his mouth. Almost 2 oz. combined since AMPS. I can't tell how much, if any, he is drinking on his own. When he drinks from his bowls, he likes to slosh it out and drink from the spillage rather than drink from the bowl itself. I have held his water bowl up for him to drink and he just walks away. He used to love for me to hold his bowl while he drank.
