Things are off to a rainy start here in the South but at least it is still warm. Simon is doing well this morning after the stupid mistake I made last night. I am so exhausted from work emotionally that I mistakenly gave Simon ondansetron which is Cleo's pill. I was freaking out but Claudia calmed me down and said it wouldn't be a problem. She was right. Except for Simon being a little sleepy, he was fine. I definitely need to pay attention to all this pill giving! No results back from the vet yet but probably by Friday I will know about the urine cultures for both kitties.

Totally OT: I have to lay off a person tomorrow that has been with our agency for 9 years and has a disabled child at home. I am just sick over this but it is a mandate from the higher ups due to budgetary issues. I am more of a social work person at heart so this is so troubling to me. If I sound very scattered over the next few days, please forgive me. I also hate that I will be working with her today and will have to act like nothing is going on. My stomach is so sick that I might need to take Cleo's ondansetron!

Anyway, the rain here is not making me feel any better but I am going to try my best to get through today and tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Well all of that just totally sucks! Lots of comforting, strengthening vines coming your way Georgia.

Re: 1/11 Simon AMPS 294

I'm so sorry about what's going on at your work. Thank heavens I don't have to do any hiring or firing. I'd be just like you, sick about it. I hope things turn around soon for you.

Thinking of you Georgia! Life really stinks sometimes. That is horrible and I know how you feel. ((((Georgia))))

At least Simon got some sleep! I wouldn't think there would be a big issues with giving him ondansetron on accident. No worries. His tummy will just be feeling fine. Hope you get the test results soon. I hate waiting for those.

Hi Georgia, things happen and I'm so glad you contacted Claudia who told you Simon would be okay. That does sound really hard with what you need to do soon with laying off an employee. Sending extra vines and hugs.

Glad you talked to Claudia and your mind was eased about Simon. I almost did something similar once - grabbed the wrong cat and almost gave him Mario's transdermal tapazole. I was so tired and out of it!

I'm sorry you have an icky day ahead of you tomorrow....we're thinking of you!!

I think Simon wants to help make me feel better by giving me a few blue numbers today. Much better than yesterday. I guess the ondansetron did not cause him any problems. Who knows, it might have made him feel better since he had an icky tummy the day before and caused his bg to be lower today.

Thanks everyone for sending me healing thoughts. I so appreciate y'all!

Hi Georgia. I'm so glad Simon had a good day, dispite the med mixup

You sound wonderful to work for. The hospital my DD works at, is downsizing the nursing staff, and she got 3 crappy options, and the woman offering these, held back the fourth, for a long pause...."stay on the floor where you are"...which is what DD wants.
DD said she could almost hear the woman laughing at her own meanness. She was hoping DD would accept part time. Why do people have to be that way!
