Happy Caturday Everyone,
While I'm still recovering from my horrible week and trying to find the Holy Grail (the perfect dose for Sebastian), Sebastian is doing just fine! All p's are AOK and he has pretty much totally assimilated into my little family for which I am very grateful.
It's hard for me to write much about Sebastian today though because I have a dear friend in California who is saying goodbye to his kitty, Lucky. I just got off the phone with him and he had to fight with his gf to come and be with him because he's scared of coming home to an empty house and she's a head case. I don't know what kind of girlfriend that is but....He loves this cat as much as anyone has ever loved any cat in history and I am just so sad for him. He spent the last week taking her for rides in his van and just being together looking at the sights and the sunsets of the California desert that Lucky has loved for 12 years. Lucky loved to go for rides in the car. She was a stray Mike found in the streets of Ocean Grove NJ 12 years ago when attending a Springsteen concert and she wouldn't come to anyone but him. When he left for home he knew little or nothing about cats and he drove cross country with Lucky riding shotgun until he arrived in LaQuinta, Ca. She has only been in the car that way her whole life, looking out the window. She's been his constant companion through a lot of bad things that have happened in his life. This is going to be a huge loss for him...maybe more for him than for other people as he suffers from bipolarism. He has promised me that if he got any 'bad' thoughts he'd call me but.....well I have to believe that.
If anyone can find that poem that is something like "I'm not gone" I would really appreciate it. While he has been writing his own poetry and making many videos this week, I really think he would like that one. I can't even explain the poems and videos I've received this week but they are beautiful tributes and somehow (I hope I'm wrong) I get an eerie feeling they could be the calm before the storm.
