I shot 4 units today because I wasn't sure if Ming was going to pull more stunts and my sister needs to rest. I didn't want to gift her on her day off with a kitty going low lol!

I put a lot of what I have collected about IAA in a post here. Ask yourself, what would you do different if you knew for sure Ming had IAA, or did not?
I don't think I would do anything differently if I knew as I've always functioned under the assumption that he might have some condition. Of course, if he had acro, then I would do things differently. But I don't think there's anything different we would do if he was IAA confirmed, am I correct? And the more I read, the more I'm going "hmm........ this explains things." I just read in an old thread about your term "going stale" and it sort of looks like Ming does that. I might not have fully grasped the concept of it though.

What you do differently with IAA is in respect to dosing. Try to keep as much green as possible before antibodies break. Once you start going down dose, be very conservative. Possibly larger reductions, back to back reductions may be OK, BCS if you need a break.

“Going stale” just meant a dose looked good at first, got some greens, then the greens went away as the antibodies went to work. Neko first saw greens at 3.75 units, then they faded away. Not until 8.75 did she earn her first reduction. Of course, part of that was probably the acro tumour pulsing too.

Ah I see. Which is what we're doing right now, right? (Just always need some reassurance :cat: lol!)

To your trained eye, does Ming's SS look like one of an IAA cat? Reading some old threads, I've come across this one where jojo suspected someone's cat (not sure who) had IAA. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/iaa-info-posts.3970/

+6 = 65

The shenanigans begins.

Also a few days ago, Ming ripped open a bag of freeze dried treats. I, being the laziest person, put the open bag on top of a shelf, thinking he would NOT get back into it.

Of course, he decided to become an acrobat and somehow launch himself onto the shelf and pull the entire bag down and deliver himself a rain of treats!!!!:facepalm::facepalm:

Low carb treats I expect?
Yes!

Here’s the culprit:

OhhhhhhHHHHhhhhhHHHHHH

Look at that face...LOL.

"what....?"
LOL!

I am impressed though. I never think of him as a jumper as he always has to jump up to tables and counters from chairs instead of floor to table. Sometimes my mom purposely positions a chair so he can easily jump onto the kitchen table or else he just won't. :joyful:

Hahha!

Oh Ming. Feeding 1 tbsp of HC.

I also retested and got just a point higher.
