Yesterday's Condo

Cobb has recovered quickly from yesterday's absurdl high BG. Had to be a bounce, right?

I will say Cobb is eating a little less than usual. But is asking for a lot of his freeze dried chicken treats. I don't know...maybe he has finally tired of this food?? I've been feeding him the Special Diet Turkey and Giblets, which is 5% carbs. I may look at the chart and see if I can try another food/flavor that's the same carb count. (Maybe it'll smell better too!)

Matt does has a nice foot warmer on these cold nights. I came in and grabbed Cobb early this morning for a test, and Matt said "now my feet are cold!" It was funny. :p

I hate when my feet warmer decides to get up and go elsewhere lol...

Cobb slide down a bit amd come play with Skoots!

Glad to see that BG weirdness sorted out. It will be interesting to see where Cobb goes with this dose.

Regarding food, I always fed BK Wellness grain free, rotating between 3-4 flavors. Early on I would order the big 15oz (or so) cans as he would go through one of those cans each 24 hours. As he put weight back on he ate 6oz or so per 24hrs. I can't recall exactly when it happened but one day he was just done with Wellness - all flavors. I switched to FF, which he still eats today. I have bought the occasional can of Wellness from time to time to see if I can switch him back - no dice. For whatever reason, he is just plain done with it.

The only reason I see for this is that - he is a cat ;)

I think Cobb heard there was a party going on in the deep end of the lagoon and decided he wanted to join in. :D

I wonder if he is already thinking of ditching this dose. You just did a dosecrease three cycles ago, didn't you? I guess you'll have to wait and see where else this takes him. Isn't this frustrating? The sugar dance is a complicated one for sure.

You are back at work tomorrow, my thoughts are to try 6.5 again. Maybe even a slight depot draining reduction tonight. But that's just me, I tend to be cautious with larger depots. It's much easier to go back up.

My civie has urinary issues, but I feed him the same as I feed Neko. Dr. Pierson has a section on urinary diets on her website. Try something else that is both low carb and low phosphorus. I think kitties can get tired of the same food, or the manufacturers changes something. I try to keep a rotation of proteins going so I've got something to fall back on if they get tired of one of them. That's Theo, Neko never gets tired of food. :joyful: Sometimes a change is all that's needed for a while before the old food becomes good again.
 
Wow I think all the kitties got the memo and there is gonna be a huge party tonight...I hope they keep an eye on each other!
