Look who's back on full time lagoon duty!!!!..Yes, it's Miss China!! Deputy LagoonMistress Extraordinaire!!! (anti-jinx, anti-jinx, anti-jinx)

Now hopefully she'll stay there....for like the rest of her life!! (I don't ask for much)

Sometimes it's hard to believe that we're coming up on 4 years of the sugardance....I remember how bad she looked....I had known something was wrong but due to finances, I just couldn't afford to take her to the vet for so long. I'm so blessed that despite probably being diabetic for at least 6 months, she's doing this great now

Now if I can just get her to lose a little of her excess "fluffiness" I'd be totally over the moon!! Not much chance of that with her choosing to "opt out" of exercise for now though

Still thinking on the DM problem from yesterday.....maybe I'll ask her friend that's been coming down to play cards with her for years to hold onto the cat food at her apartment and just give mom 1 can per day....but I think Connie the stalker goes down there too. (she calls me and tells me that the only people she can stand in the building are DM and Marge, the card-playing friend)

It's 72 degrees outside today....can you believe it? I was out in shirtsleeves!!....and tomorrow night they've issued a Winter Weather Watch for an ice storm moving in....we're supposed to have freezing rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a total accumulation of around 3/4" of ice....that's more than enough to take down power lines, trees and really bring everything to a halt around here so I hope they're wrong!!

Going to take DM to get her hair done tomorrow instead of waiting for Friday and going to stock her up on food in case I can't get over there for a few days....I just hope she can keep track of what I buy!

Ah, back to full time duty, Deputy China? Nice. :D You know, you really should keep in shape so you can chase off those sharks when kitties get too close. Just sayin'...

I hope you get the DM issue resolved soon. I know how frustrating it must be.

I hope the weather turns out to be much less severe than predicted. We've had 8.57 inches of rain here since January 1st, and it's not done yet (although it's taking a short break today). When we prayed for rain the past few years to break the drought, we should have specified we didn't want it all at once! :facepalm:
 
I'm glad China is back surfing in the lagoon. I hope you can figure something out for your mom. Hopefully you won't get that much ice. Yikes.
 
Since your DM is having memory problems, just casually leave a list of everything you buy or the receipts each time on the kitchen counter. Write a note or two on each one so that they look kinda important.

Brilliant! I went straight to "GET A NANNY CAM!" when I read about the shenanigans with the stalker. I think of myself as the last person to encourage a big brother mentality, but that just pushed all my buttons.
On another note, glad that China is situated back in her rightful place, Uncle may need her expertise!

I'm just getting to your yesterday's condo. That's awful to read about the things disappearing from your mom's apartment. Cat food, of all things! Perhaps Connie needs to be "confronted"? But those things are so hard to do. And the caretaker's giving herself a raise without consulting you is really a bummer. I hope you can get it all straightened out without too much stress.

Bummer on your weather, too! We got the rain and thaw today. Not fun! I hope you don't get an ice storm. Those are the worst.

I would LOVE to have one of these.....unfortunately, it's one of those things that I can't afford.....I'd just love to catch her in the act though! At least then I could complain to the owner of the building and have him toss her out so things could go back to normal

I've seen those on TV and can just see getting a little statue or something to sit on top of the fridge and record everything that goes on.....or a little teddy bear sitting on the couch with a button nose "camera"
 
Well Miss China has been a very good deputy tonight....not too high, not to close to the sharks, so I think I'll let her go to the Full Moon Party tomorrow

But this mamabean is going to go to sleep!!

Hope all those kitties that are contemplating PJ parties decide to go ahead and make it an early night for their mamabeans!!
 
Aww so glad China is doing just great!!! :bighug::bighug::bighug: You're not asking much for kitty to be happy and healthy!! And if she gets a little chubby, that's just more of her to love!! :bighug:

I sometimes take Fluffy out on walks at night, by leash :rolleyes: I bet the neighbours have some stories about me haha ;)
