Day 2 without cerenia and Xander is still eating fabulously. The tiny dose of mirataz I gave him yesterday seemed to affect him a bit more. I'm think i'm going to give one final dose of mirataz today of a very small drop size and see how he does.

The mirataz worked a little too well, I weighed him last night and he gained 3 oz this week

Fingers crossed, I'm hoping this was just an acute episode. My vet labeled it as chronic due to his past history of eating issues, but I feel this time was markedly different. In the past it was only a day or two of slightly lower eating that resolved (sometimes with a hairball), but this time was more than a week with a few very low days.
