Work that increase, Pearl! Let's see some more blues.
Trying to wrap your head around everything can feel like you're drinking from a fire hose. At least that's how it was for me. Sometimes it still is. It will keep getting a little easier, though.

Congrats on the amazing BGs :bighug:!! Love to hear that she is acting more like her usual self and feeling better !!

I have to ask which is Margaret and which is Pearl in the picture? They are SO beautiful!!

Thank you!! I never thought we would see blue! Pearl is sitting on my arms while I type, which she hasn't done in probably over 5 months, so I am over the moon.

I am Margaret actually :) The pic is of Pearl and her sister and best buddy forever, Whisper. Whisper is black, Pearl is Siamese. They used to pose for me in exactly the same positions, lol. I've had them both since 9 weeks old, and Whisper was 3 when I got Pearl. Pearl loved Whisper like no other, and we lost Whisper in September (at age 18). (This has actually been a VERY difficult year for Pearl - she lost BOTH of her cat friends). At both deaths, the asthma/pneumonia got worse, and after Whisper crossed the rainbow bridge, a whole host of new diagnoses happened. I am positive Pearl was becoming diabetic even at that time based on her behavior (even though the blood tests at that time were normal).

Thank you for asking about my girls :)

First, I am so sorry to hear about your recent loss.
Whisper is stunning & what a blessed long life she lived surround by love :rb_icon:. It is so hard when they lose their cat friends/siblings :(. The fact that she has lost 2 is very sad. Thankfully, you have each other to manage the losses :bighug:. I just love that picture——they certainly knew how to strike a pose :p!

It makes my heart so happy to hear about this win with the diabetes becoming more regulated :). Some much needed sunshine after the rain with the loss & recent multiple medical issues!! I am hopeful that this will be the beginning of some better days ahead for both you and Pearl :bighug:!

Thank you so much. It has been a horribly hard year - 4 hospitalizations, 5 almost deaths, 15 new diagnoses (all between the 3 cats). I did get a new foster cat for Pearl in October after her friends had passed (long story, did NOT intend to take this cat but she was also a senior medical with nowhere to go and needing experienced attention - Chessie (new cat) and I both have Lyme disease). And honestly, having another cat in the house is very helpful for Pearl. She didn't do so good without other cats around.

This group is making Pearl's diabetes SO MUCH EASIER - I don't know what I would have done trying to figure this out alone - I definitely would not have the knowledge to help Pearl adequately.

I'm so terribly sorry that Whisper passed recently.:bighug: You are an absolute angel for welcoming a senior cat with medical issues into your home. Thank you.
Lyme disease is a tough one (from a human perspective..I imagine no picnic for a cat, either:().
Lovely blue cycle for Pearl today.

This is beyond a lot for one person to have to manage & to add Lyme Disease......wow :(. You are one STRONG woman:bighug:!

Chassie is one lucky cat to have been rescued by you:bighug:!! You are a special woman to open your home, heart & time to a feline with medical issues, especially with all the other challenges you are juggling. It is heart warming to read how much it helps Pearl to have Chassie :):cat:.

Looking forward to seeing more progress!!
