Yesterday's condo

Not sure how this bean is going to survive the first week of classes. :eek: Not only did Mandarin drop into the 40s again last night (and he's on 0.1 Units!), but Walter dove into the 50s after I fattened up his dose... and then the power went out. So I got to test with a flashlight, which freaked Mandarin out to no end. So everyone had generous portions of HC food. I haven't had a chance yet to update the ss and I forgot to write down any numbers before I went to campus.

Still no power this morning. It is 53 degrees in my house and the water temperature was barely above freezing. My poor cats! I am running home for lunch to see if it's back on. If not, I will have to figure something out. My dogs will be okay, but I am worried for my cats, especially my sniffly little Iris.
 
Oh no. Sorry you have no power. I hope they get it back on quickly. I found the headlamp I used to help me see Furball's dark ears came in handy if the power went out. I hope the boys give you a break and let you get some sleep tonight.
 
Hopefully everyone will snuggle together to keep warm today. Your boys sure have been eating up that HC lately. It means lots of progress but geesh, they are still trying to kill you. Hang in there Christina :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Wow what a night you had! We had a big windstorm here last night and I figured our power would go out but it didn't.
I hope your power comes on soon; hopefully they're all snuggling together to keep warm until it does!
 
The latest estimate is that the power will be restored by 11 pm tonight. When I just went home for lunch, the temperature was down to 51 degrees in the house. I am amazed that I was able to get any blood for a test, their poor little ears were freezing. They didn't even want get out of bed to eat - so everyone had lunch in bed. I am just glad my cats like each other so much and keep each other warm.... otherwise, I would be even more worried.
 
Don't open the fridge any more than you have to. Hope the hydro comes on sooner - or you'll be taking the whole gang to your office.
 
The power has finally been restored and my house is starting to warm up. I am so glad that we won't have to spend a second night in an icebox.

...numbers are looking great for Mandarin while his brother is spending the day on the trampoline. I will get everything updated tomorrow - for right now, I just need sleep.
