At least his AMPS came down a little from yesterday's pre-shot numbers. He's up to 65 ml at each feeding today - 3 feedings a day. He did well with his tube feeding this morning. He was a little more active overnight - mainly just shifting around. He purred a fair amount, too. He did roll off of the pillow, though. The poor guy doesn't have good balance or coordination in that little shirt. I'm sure it hurt for him to roll over like that - he just stayed very still for a couple of minutes. :(

We'll see how today goes! Last day at home with him. Stupid job.

I agree! Wish we could all stay home with our babies when they are sick and need it. Hope you all have a good good day. <<purrs>> to Logan.
 
Better AMPS, purring and moving a little are good signs too...
you could rub your clothes on him too...so he smells like you :-D

Tomorrow is gonna come anyway :cry: try not to give it another thought today! :smile:
You have a lot of Sunday hours WITH him and that will be great...enjoy today time alone without thinking about tomorrow too....after all your attention today, he will rest while you are away and that is good.
He needs some alone time too ya know!!! ;-) Lots of healing is done during sleep and meditation. He can do that alone, knowing that you will come back to him! :YMHUG:

(I like to think that you are adding more hours to the dreaded "tomorrow" when you use up "Today's" hours thinking about it....you risk making tomorrow longer by robbing the time from today....so allow the beautiful day you are living have it's full impact by not wasting its time thinking of another day...be it a yesterday or any tomorrow....is that silly?
It helps me stay "in the moment"... :smile:
Oh....and It also works when the day you are having isn't so great. So, tomorrow with all its work stuff can be made shorter by thinking of the time you had yesterday,which is, in fact, today... :lol: so make today something to draw on tomorrow....) :lol: LOLOL

So, I am picturing Logan with bursting bright light surrounding his whole body...the healing light of love....showering all your love upon him and in him! And we are focusing our love and well wishes too. ((Kelly))

Glad to here Logan doing better. Recovery is slow and I know how you feel about
leaving him tomorrow. Concentrate on today and don't dwell on tomorrow.
You're feeding him with lots of love today!! :YMHUG:

Got a ketones test - it showed trace. It was negative yesterday. I'm going to increase his insulin to 4.5 tonight.

He came into the kitchen for his test and treats. He ate about a tsp of FF, about 2 tsp of a FF App, and a couple tsps of baby food on his own. He's under the bed now. :(
 
Kelly, not that I know that much but when I had tace for Max it was suggested to me to get more liquids into Max to flush them out.I know it is hard with Logan's feeding tube.
I mixed tuna juice and water to get the fluids in.

I plan on pushing some extra water through his tube when he comes out. He's due for his next feeding in about 1 1/2 hours. I have to flush the tube after the feeding so I'll just use a little extra. Thanks!

We went up to 4.5 units tonight. I flushed him with some extra water this afternoon for the ketones.

This afternoon, he managed to get upstairs when we weren't looking. A couple hours ago, we brought him down to the couch. He seemed ok - just really lethargic still. He doesn't seem to go to sleep, though. He just sits there quietly with his eyes wide open. After we tested him and he ate a little bit of baby food, something spooked him and he leaped off the back of the couch. I don't think he hurt himself (although I'm sure it hurt) but he's now hiding under the bed. :( He's due for his next feeding in about 2 hours.
