WCR: All P's Present
Good Afternoon Everyone
Gandolf and I are camped out in my bedroom where it's a whole lot warmer than out and around this big old drafty house. Snowed in again, it's a winter wonderland outside. Seems it will be for a few days.
Called the 800# on the ReliOn Ultima Strip box I have and the company is FedX'ing me a new batch of strips within 24 - 48 hours. They are going to contact local pharmacies till they find them or ship them from somewhere - that's on them - and get them to me. They are also supplying a pre-labeled package to ship this affected lot of strips back.
Well, since I'm hanging out on crutches, that sure works for me. I really haven't noticed the strips drawing up the blood any slower or reading any slower,(that's their first question), but I really am not sure about the numbers right now. They asked if I was getting especially low numbers and I had to say no to that too. Regardless, they are replacing this box of 100 within 48 hours. That's a relief.
I'm closely watching the 5 P's to monitor the boy since I truly can't be sure about his numbers. The fact is not necessarily all the strips in these lots have been affected AND it was stated that even all strips in one particular box may not be defective. A very hit or miss situation. WOW.
Anyway, we're OK, and Gandolf's doing fine, and I'm glad the company is rushing me the strips right to my door. In weather like this, it doesn't get any better than that. TYJ!
Have a great day in Lantus Land Everyone, we'll keep you posted.
