He was frisky and purring this morning so I knew he would give me a good number. He also pooped a nice load last night. I immediately sent Bing in

At least you have a routine.

Glad Alska looks so good, I'm so happy for him. :-D

Yikes the battery in my Relion needs replacing. I hope Walmart has them. I hate going there on a Saturday. I am so bad at finding batteries. May just buy a new meter if I cant find one.

Made some Wellness cat-cicles today. Gonna see if Alska will eat them for his mid-day snack.

I've never considered needing a new battery. How long have you had the meter? I've had mine over a year and, believe me, it used to get 10 times the use it does now.

Do you know what kind of battery it takes?

Lithium CR2032 (or a DL2032). One of those big round but thin watch batteries. Also found them at my local CVS pharmacy.

Thanks Deb, that's good to know. Wouldn't hurt to pick one up, just in case. :-D I never even thought about it. ohmygod_smile

Good to know! I hadn't thought about something like that either. Stuff like that goes out on me at the worst possible times too. Nice #'s for Alska!

I looked at CVS for watch batteries and they only carried ones for hearing aids. I need syringes and a sharps container anyway so I will look at Walmart. I just don’t know where you look - in jewelry or pharmacy. They are at opposite ends of the store.

Neither....there is a big display of batteries back in electronics by the digital cameras. :-D Usually on the same area where the digital picture frames are.

Robin, check with the company that picks up trash to find out the rules for disposing of used syringes in your state/city. Don't spend the money on a sharps container if you don't have to.

Here in NC, unless it's changed in the last 10 yrs, you are fine with any puncture proof container, including a 2 liter soda bottle. That's what I use. Although I rarely drink soda, I buy one about every 3 months and use the bottle after it's empty. If I can save $5, I'm gonna. :-D You just need to keep the cap so you can close the full bottle when you're ready to discard it.

Thanks Mel for the battery locator. The battery sign is not showing today but I am going to pick one up anyway.

Debbie - our state allows a plastic bottle with a lot of signage but I don't usually have any since I don't drink soda. I like the sharps container because they are only 3 bucks and I can be sure that it wont end up in the recycling stream.
